The slow check in process at the front desk, the lifts were very inconveniently placed.

The location is good, we had a great boat ride the next morning.

The room was of a very high standard but the unfortunately, the bed was too firm for me and I had a poor nights sleep. Almost no shops to visit in the attached shopping area and no billiards or pool table available although a pool table is shown in the guide on the room TV.

Excellent standard of quality throughout the hotel. Service and staff are exceptional and a good range of restaurants on offer. The main lobby is very inviting and the bar area in the lobby is very comfortable and relaxing.

Swimming pool needs a rebrush.

The Food was tasty with good variety depiste indian dominance but overall acceptable. Rooms are very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed our stay.

I want to change my room .. because I book Ocean view but they gave me in 2nd floor I can't see the ocean view.. so I try to change my room.. front desk handle me very bad..

The rooms were quite small and staff were slow at sorting out our room with enough beds. Housekeeping were also terrible at replenishing - eg they’d take our old towels but not put any new ones in. No hurry when we complained about this either.

The air extractions in the bath room..pool area is really worn out and tatty..some staff at the dining areas could not understand much English..NO Vegemite or Marmite for my toasts and I was not happy about this

The decor and furnishings in the rooms is dated and could use an upgrade, some of the bathroom fittings are also in need of fixing. While the food at the restaurant was good, the layout of the buffet area is not well planned, leading to several narrow spaces where guests need to invade each others personal / physical space to cross each other. Also needs better coffee.

The hotel room as spacious -- the bathroom as well -- with a great view of Galle Face Green. The food at both dinner and breakfast was good with a wide spread of both local and other cuisine.

The property is located in a beautiful area facing the beach. Our room was spacious and offered a lovely view of the sea. The staff were very courteous and helpful.

Room service and cleaning where we had to ask for towels. Being a five star hotel we expected a bit more of such service.

Rooms were very comfortable. Food was delicious. Travel desk did a wonderful job and handled our tours very well. Overall a good hotel to stay.

The location of the property has made me repeat my visit to the Hotel many times. Room facing the Ocean is too special. The sprawling landscape and the magnificent building really rejuvenates the spirit and mind.

Our stay was spoilt by people using the fire/emergency exit to smoke and the smoke/ smell travels through the hallways into the rooms. We complained about this and the response we got was ‘sorry’. Something really should be done about this as it left a very negative feeling in us. Surely an alarm should be attached to those doors so that they can be better monitored??

The location was perfect. The rooms were fabulous (and the view - wow!). Rooms were spacious, clean and of Taj standard. The beds were very comfortable! The staff were attentive and friendly.
