We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomHad to change rooms as we had paid for a balcony but instead got a sweltering conservatory, we had 4 power cuts whilst we were there, we had to ask for the complimentary toiletries, it is also not pram/baby friendly as we had to carry baby up 4 flights of stairs and the grounds around hotel are uneven. Could have done with bedside tables as well.
Manager and his family are super friendly, breakfast was great, very safe (we left our pram outside reception for 11 days) we exchanged currency at the hotel and they arranged for our taxi to and from the airport which included a baby car seat.

United KingdomNo hot water unless it was a sunny day and when we arrived it was grey and had been raining. Cold shower only 🫤 The key to the room was stuck in the door so we couldn't lock the room when we went out and couldn't lock the door from the inside when we were in! The owner was a bit elusive when we tried to find someone to speak to. The safe in the room was locked and despite following the instructions we couldn't get it open so couldn't use it. Sheets and pillow cases had old stains on them which was a bit off-putting! Could clearly hear people in the room next door.
Close to the beach and town. Reasonable sized room. Ok for a couple of nights if you're looking for cheap accommodation.

The hotel was in a great location to the beach and main street. The rooms were spacious and the sun room was a nice bonus. The air conditioning was ice cold and there was warm water.

Sri LankaSame (super simple) breakfast every day. Only ~80% of the time able to get hold of a staff member quickly. (Was manageable though.) No dedicated practical place to put surfboards.
Away from the main road but close. ~4 min from beach, ~7 min from Mirissa surf spot (the right), ~12 min from Mirissa Left surf spot. 2nd floor: had no mosquito problems at all 2022 crisis specific: backup generator to run the AC during power cuts

PolandHotel is 5 minutes walking from the beach in quiet yet tourist area. Room is super clean and comfortable. Friendly atmosphere. It's actually better conditions than on the photos so it was a very nice surprise :)

It's in a quiet location set a short walk off the main road and a short walk down to the beach. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in easy walking distance, The room was fairly big with a fridge and kettle. The breakfast was very good. Staff at the hotel are very pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomWe really enjoyed our stay in the Sky Garden Mini Hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet and great to relax in. There is also a spacious private balcony overlooking a courtyard and palm trees, as well as AC. The hotel is a stone's throw from the beach and restaurants. The owner was very friendly but discreet and breakfast was simple but tasty - a Sri Lankan omelette (or however you wanted your eggs), as well as fresh fruit and toast. The rooms are exactly as pictured, although more modern showers have since been installed. Overall this is a great choice if you're looking for somewhere cheap as a base in Mirissa.
