Amazing location on a wide, empty sandy beach! It was incredibly relaxing and calm. The room was really comfortable and beautifully done. The staff were helpful and kind, they let me use the facilities before check in and after check out. I ate seafood and it was all really yummy. The best accommodation of my trip so far and was sad I couldn't stay longer!

The stay at seven turtles was one of the highlights during my Sri Lanka tour! It felt like paradise :)! Wonderful location directly at the beach, which felt like a private beach because not many people were there. The people working there were also wonderful! So friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. All in all I can only recommend coming here!

Beautiful seaside hotel for some quite relaxation directly on the beach. The staff was super friendly and food was amazing. The cherry on top were the cute hotel based dogs. The room is super comfortable with a big balcony. Everything we could have wished for. :)

A beautifully remote spot, on a gorgeous beach front. Our hotel room (we treated ourselves to a bungalow) had been well designed and furnished in a modern style. The team were attentive and helpful. Great breakfast and tasty dinners. Wonderful pool surrounded by trees and with the beach in front. Would gladly visit again

The room, the view, the beach, and the staff were all great. The place is so romantic for couples and relaxing for solo travelers. I went to bird watching from there which Seven Turtles arranged and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I've had in my life.

Very peaceful location on a beautiful and clean beach which you could walk for miles on. Breakfast was excellent and we ate every meal in the evening in the restaurant which was also very good. Swimming pool was great, especially as the sea was too rough to swim in (which we knew before our visit). Lovely big room overlooking the beach and pool.

The most amazing place on earth with the greatest beach right in front of it! The bungalow we stayed in was just perfect! It had amazing views and was so well equipped and decorated. Somebody definitely had an eye for detail there! Hope to come here again sometime!

Not a complaint, as we loved watching the waves & it is nature, more of a 'to be aware'. The waves are onshore, and were big when we were there. We only allowed our children to go in until their waist. The current is strong, so I stayed with them whilst they were playing around in the dumping waves. I swam out past the waves once & it was hard going. Sri Lanka has a lot of surfing beaches, with big waves, so be aware/cautious when swimming. 7 Turtles has a nice pool, so after a play in the ocean, you can chill out in the pool :) Don't go to the turtle sanctuary for the evening 'egg-laying'. Very over-crowded, you wait hours to see a turtle under stress to get back into the ocean with many people around with cameras in the face of the poor turtle. The men coordinating this are rude, aggressive in their tone, and it cost 2000 Rupees per person...I think it is all about money-making for them. I do not recommend going. Better option is a the 'Victor Hasselbald Turtle Research Center' in Kosgoda (Hikkaduwa).

We loved 7 Turtles! We travelled throughout Sri Lanka for more than 3 weeks (12 hotels) and this was our favourite! We chose this hotel (from the photos) as it has enough palm trees to provide shade for all guests throughout the day on the sunbeds by the beach. We found the photos on all websites match the actual hotel. A huge positive is the free filtered water refill tank at the bar, so you are not constantly needing to buy water (and saving plastic by refilling 1 bottle), this is so smart, and also very considerate for guests, and the only hotel that did this. The owner was very helpful, the staff were friendly, the location is excellent (we went for daily walks up the beach). As it is nicely isolated (which we enjoyed) we ate all meals at the hotel (which we thought could be an issue, yet it wasn't). The breakfast variety is very good, we loved the daily fresh fruit platter, granola & fruit (in a jar), oats & fruit, eggs, pancakes, etc. Always more than enough food. We had a light snack at lunchtime, as dinner was always really good. We loved the 'Curry & Rice' dish, Vegetarian Kotu, and there are options (Pasta & pesto) even for our sons (12 & 16yrs) who are sometimes fussy with their meals. As always, the meals were plentiful and really good (very yummy). Beware: the chocolate brownie & ice-cream is hard to say no to :) There are 3 friendly hotel dogs (Lavazza, Late & Cappuccino) that like to look out for you and like to keep other hotel dogs on their stretch of the beach. We stayed for 4 days, and when we got to our next hotel, our children asked why we didn't stay longer at 7 Turtles (it was their favourite stay as well!). Apart from the other hotel guests, sometimes you only see 5 or 6 people (from other hotels) throughout the whole day. Most of the day, the beaches are deserted. I recommend the walk left of the beach (East).
