I'd love my stay! The owner was an excellent host, she made sure everything was ok and was available to help despite it being local holidays which I greatly appreciated. She even welcomed me with homemade sweets. The location is a bit outside of the main city which makes it tranquil and relaxing. You can sit on a balcony and listen to birds and other animals as well as the waves crashing. The guesthouse is only few minutes walk to the beach. The room was clean, spacious, and everything was in working order.

Beautiful place, surrounded by nature with a view on the lagoon, peacocks running around and an amazing beach a 10 min walk away. The a/c was working well. Everything was very clean. The owner was very friendly and prepared the best food I had in Sri Lanka.

Room was so clean, it had everything we needed, the place was peaceful and had a beautiful garden With a lake. The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We had a great stay at this accommodation. The cabanas are located on a beautiful property with a big garden and a nice view of the lagoon. We were able to observe a lots of birds while sitting on the balcony. The room is big, with quiet AC, fan and a big bed. The balcony is just amazing. Besides this the host offered us regularly free benefits like laundry service (which was really good and quick), some fruits, juice or tea. As we arrived there was a technical problem with the WiFi. As the provider didn't show much effort to fix it, Our host just went to the city, changed the provider and set up a brand new router for us within a day. WiFi was running fast and stable afterwards. Thank you for taking care of that. If you go there don't worry about food at all. The host runs a restaurant within a few meters next door. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious and every day she surprised us with little things like a dessert, extra side dish or something else. We can definitely recommend a stay here. Thanks for having us!

One of the best stay in sri lanka for me! The owner was so kind:). Even made me great jam! Love it. She is really good chef, i definitely recommend some of her food. Apartment is in quiet location, perfect for relax! Room has enough spaces, for elecricity you will need converter if you have EU adapters.

The only minus is that the nearest beach is not accesible for swimming due to the big waves and the property is quite far from a bus station (at about half an hour walk).

It was the nicest and cleanest place from all where we stayed during our trip in Sri Lanka! The room was big, with a large bed, AC and hot water. We had a nice terrace with garden view and we could also hear the waves, the beach is at 7 minutes walk. We could serve breakfast and dinner (but for extra charge) and the food was tasty!

Wow! This was really the best place where we stayed in Sri Lanka. The room is very spacious and clean. There is also a big balcony on which you can overlook the extremely beautiful garden. There are many animals to see and you hear the waves of the ocean. At the beach nearby you can watch the turtles at night laying their eggs. The hostlady, Yashoda, always made sure, that we had everything we needed. She also cooks very good. Breakfast was extensive and also the coffe was really good. The dinner was also perfect and everyday different. We had the luck to stay over singhalese new year and she cooked a traditional dinner for us. That was a great experience. We can totally recommend coming here!

I liked everything in this place. I think I have experienced the Sri-Lankan hospitality at its best. Located in a rural setting, between the two most beautiful beaches in Tangal, this tranquil family run guest house is utterly and completely surreal. Immerse in nature, in this place, you feel transported in another world: "a magic world". The bedroom, as well as the bathroom, are very spacious and clean. The large balcony, overlooking the beautiful garden and the lagoon, is well shadowed and ventilated. The staff(the young landlady and her little boy) are very attentive, professional and, more importantly, sweet. The meals (breakfast and dinner) are abundant, tasty and beautifully presented. The fauna surrounding the house is alive and kicking. The sound of the crushing waves, in the background, reminds you that the sea is "right there" and it is waiting for you.. so catch the beach towel and make an effort to leave the balcony 😄

A squeegee in the bathroom would be very helpful to remove the water and keep the bathroom clean. WiFi was also not good (especially in the evening), which made it difficult for us to work.

We loved our stay at Rock Violet Cabanas. The host is very accommodating and helpful. She cooks very good food, too so make sure to have dinner at least once! The garden is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. So many beautiful flowers and you see peacocks every day, it's magical... You're a 5min walk away from the beach which is super calm (hardly anybody there). You can rent a scooter from the host to go to Tangalle town and other places. The room was very clean when we arrived and the terrace is so nice!

The place and host are great! One of the cleanest places in Sri Lanka we've been to, with nice and huge garden, in a cottage sourranded by plants, birds and in a walking distance to the beach. It's good to have a bike there to go to the city, but if you want just to stay in the area and relax, you'll get everything you need - the owner makes very nice food and she helped us with everything we needed (and even more). We felt very welcome here and deffinitely come back if we'll have a chance.

Beautiful Rock Violet . We were blown away by hospitality on arrival - drinks and snacks sat outside enjoying the garden well presented gardens. The food is amazing. This host goes above and beyond to prepare not only incredible tasting food but presentation was beautiful. Host was so friendly and at hand if we needed anything. Outside the cabanas downstairs you are welcomed by the lovely mural and then leading into the spacious bedroom area. The property was so clean and smelt nice, lovely big bed, AC and spacious bathroom. The WiFi worked well and a walk away from shop and beach . We would have wished to stay longer and highly recommend to others... you will not be disappointed with value . Thanks again

Big room with really nice bathroom and bed, and a nice balcony area to sit and enjoy all the wildlife. 10 minute walk to the beach where we saw 2 sea turtles returning to the sea after laying their eggs! Amazing price property in a really calm location. Spent the next day kayaking around the lagoon where we saw more wildlife. Would like to come back for longer

We stayed in upper room of the "Rock Violet Cabanas" and had a beautiful view from the balkony. The rooms were very clean. The home owners live 2 minutes away from the house and are very friendly people. We got served breakfast and dinner to our balkony which was cooked fresh for us. The seafood was very good. The beach is a 5min walk from the house and also very beautiful and not many people. Great value for the money.

Amazing peaceful sanctuary right by the beach, in the more quiet end of Tangalle Beach. If you want tranquility and hospitality, this is the place. 10/10

- Internet/Mobitel LTE at location was not enough for work (Zoom calls at least) so we needed to go to beach restaraunt each day where was generator. Otherwise we would not leave cabana and it's beautiful second floor veranda at all ) Don't know how to fix that knowing current problems in the country though

Rock Violet Cabanas was our home for a week. We have enjoyed calm relaxing atmosphere of the place. - Location. Cabana near Rekawa Lagoon (a bit far from Tangalle center). 10 minutes to the beach, 20 minutes to beach bars/restaraunts - Territory. Beautiful garden with a lot of peacocks passing by. Chill and calming place. Cool for bird/animal watching - Room. Very cozy, new and clean. Room has a lot of space and power wallets. No wardrobe though. - Toilet/bathroom. Very clean and good smelling - Owner. Place is run by wonderful and kindhearted Yoshoda. That is what makes this place really outstanding. She tries her best so guests staying at her place felt comfortable, had food and any problems resolved. One day I have asked to have a special dinner for birthday celebration and she made an enchanting surprise party on her own! Never had anything like that. - Food. Best food at Tangalle or maybe Sri Lanka. You can order breakfast or dinner and Yoshoda will make largest and tastiest prawns or something from her "special" dishes. We have waited in anticipation for each next breakfast because it was a surprise. Yoshoda also wants to open her own restaraunt and she really deserves it!
