There was no air condition. When we came the bathroom did not smell good No restaurant in hotel directly.

We liked the view from the balcony- you see Ella rock, Little Adams peak and small Ravana falls Clean room.

The scooter is given almost empty tank, first thing you need to di is put petrol, and one of the way to go to the petrol station is blocked, we had ti leave the scooter and walk last 5 minutes, I wish we were told this. Ended up putting petrol a second time and at the end left 3/4 tank. Not a very good deal for me, but didn’t want to risk to get stick somewhere, here petrol stations are not as common.

Location, beautiful view, very short walk from the town, and you can rent scooters from them.

Bathroom could be better, seems some renovations are on the way which will upgrade the premises.

Prime location. Close by center but far enough not to get disturbed by Ella tourist madness. Great starting point for hikes. Excellent staff. Fair breakfast. Good price quality.

There was no aircon in the room so it was a bit hot at night and also could have mentioned on booking.com before about the payment method. They accept only cash and no card payments accepted .

Wifi quality

We really enjoy to stay at the Rawana hotel. The location is really good. The view its amazing. The staff very good, Nadun is a really nice worker. Everything clean. The only thing for us that wasn't so great was the Wifi, barely worked in our room. We spend didn't much time in the room so that wasn't a big issue.

The rooms are a little tired and need attention to detail Eg a leak on spray hose, no shelving in bathroom, the Wi-Fi sticker is in the middle of the window, Communication and room care needs attention. Eg we asked for the floor to be swept/cleaned, fresh towels, to clean the fridge. We had to keep asking. It didn’t spoil our stay but it cld have been better.

Comfortable beds and pillows. Big window looking out at Ella rock and the waterfall. Accommodating staff. Very active to make sure we got transport to places and a reliable/friendly tuk tuk driver. We liked him so much we drove all the way to Lipton seat the whole journey, instead of by car and then tuk tuk. We left early and requested some food to go expectedly and it was ready quickly.

Unfortunately we could only pay in cash, this should have been communicated more clearly, for example by sending us a message before our stay.

The room and views have surprised us. The room was spacious. Air conditioning works well. Mosquito nets were present, although they needed to be replaced. The bathroom was clean but the shower was not powerful and did not get hot. The WiFi did not work so we immediately received our own WiFi modem. After this we no longer experienced any problems with the connection. The breakfast was tasty and sufficient for us. It is not possible to go to Ella on foot, you must arrange a tuk tuk. This can be done cheaply through the hotel. The hotel owner was extremely friendly and even took us to the center of Ella for free because he had to be there himself. All sights (Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arch Bridge, Rawana Falls) are within easy reach by tuk tuk.
