Amazing owner, location and breakfast

Our host Peter was the sweetest, most enthusiastic and lovable host, an absolute delight! And the breakfast... soooo amazing! Besides that, the place itself is also absolutely stunning, with a beautiful (and clean) pool. The room is spacious, comfortable and has a fantastic shower! We only have good words for this place and would definitely recommend!

This place is full of love and care. Many thanks to Peter and Glenda, each guest is more than welcome here and feel themselves like home. Breakfast includes fresh juice, fruits, Sri Lankan or Western dish, really cool and delicious! Garden and pool are very neat and clean.

My 3 night stay was perfect. Really lovely room balcony and bathroom. I loved the peaceful garden and hotel out the way of the busy road. The hosts were wo derful very helpful and friendly. I have already recommended for my friend to visit and I would come here again.

Plantation House is the perfect place to relax. Rooms and garden/pool area are immaculate. The hosts provide a fabulous breakfast and are really knowledgeable about the area. Thank you we had a great stay.

After having an awful stay in Unawatuna we decided to spontaneously book this place and it was the best decision ever! We were very well welcomed with a cup of tea by Glenda. The room and bathroom were amazing and super clean! We even had a private balcony which is great to spend some time. Peter’s breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka! Overall Glenda and Peter were one of the most welcoming and warm host we met in three weeks in Sri Lanka! They have a lot of experience in hospitality!! It is a very special place and would recommend to anyone!

The loud sermons from the adjacent Temple starting at 05:30 in the morning.

The firendliness and hospitalitiy of the hosts was over the top. They also helped us with planning the continuation of our journey.

We loved our three nights here! The pool was clean and cool, bed was comfy and the hosts were really friendly and helpful! Some highlights: - Rooms had tea and coffee with a fridge and refillable water and milk- such a treat in Sri Lanka! - Air con worked well as did the fan. - Hot water in the bathroom. - breakfast was included (we didn’t have due to being up and out early every day but it looked lovely!) - security on the gate at night, really friendly! - close to town, only a couple of minutes on the moped. Really quiet location.

The rooms were large, airy and bright, bed super comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The garden was beautiful and the pool area although not huge was well equipped with sun beds

We feel so grateful to have found this gem on our final night in Sri Lanka. Glenda & Peter were the most welcoming and warm hosts that made us feel so comfortable with such attention to detail. The property and grounds are beautiful, green & immaculate. Peters breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka! Glenda & Peter clearly invest a lot of effort and love into making this a special place & it was truly felt by us as guests.

The property is squeaky clean with modern touch. Its pretty close to the beach and its very quite and calm at Peter’s Place. We enjoyed a lot in the pool, on the loungers. Peter and Gelnda are great hosts, and you will be surprised by the levels of energy these guys bring in at this age. They prepared on of the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. They love their place like a baby and you can see it in the service they provide. Only regret I have if I could spend more time here. The best you can get in Hikkaduwa.

Everything is perfect!

The host are experienced hoteliers and very welcoming. The place itself is a paradise with a beautiful garden and nice pool to escape the heat. Would really highly recommend staying here! Unfortunate we only stayed for one night.

The most fabulous haven in Sri Lanka! If this is available (which I imagine isn’t often) snap it up! What a beautiful find. Everything is perfect, the hosts Peter and Glenda, the rooms, the pool, the staff, location, vibe… A boutique hotel of 5 star quality. This is Peter and Glenda’s dream vision come true. Everything is thought through, perfectly designed, fabulously accessorised, all details are considered - the music, the art, the hospitality. The breakfasts are amazing, different everyday, fresh, healthy wonderfully presented with love. I really couldn’t recommend this dream find any more strongly. If you get the chance to book and experience plantation house you are a lucky being. Enjoy!

My husband and I had the best honeymoon ever here. We couldn't even imagine that we were so lucky with our choice of plantation house. Here are the most beautiful views from the window, the most delicious breakfasts (we have never seen egg breakfasts in such different versions), the cleanest rooms, and the most welcoming and friendly hosts Peter and Glenda! And also, the rooms are so bright, cozy and thought out in every detail! My heart is broken or just left here forever. Special thanks to the plantation house team!

We stayed for 6 nights at plantation house and loved this hotel. It was a wonderful place to relax after a few weeks travelling around Sri lanka. Peter was a brilliant host and we loved the beautiful breakfasts on the terrace. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean as are the grounds and lovely swimming pool. It’s in a lovely peaceful location, an easy 10 minute walk to the beach/ small supermarket and main road or easy to arrange a tuk tuk further into Hikkaduwa town. We had a great time and highly recommend!

Owner's friendly conversations. Very helpful staff. Cozy environment. Services they provide. Privacy. Connections with the surrounding services. (ex. If we need some food, they know and suggest the best, if we need a three wheel driver because it is raining, they will give you a contact for best price, spots for visiting nearby) Cozy room with paddle fan & AC. Mini fidge and some storage for food. Tea making items with everyday filling milk bottle. Clean and neat bathroom with shampoo body wash etc. ( Found good body lotion for myself there 😜) New linen for beds and clean towels, pool towels. Swimming pool with comfy beach beds. Night lights 🔥. Outside open pavillion. ( It was the best place I found, took our dinner and watched movies there with lights around ❤️) Very nice breakfast. (They asked us for western food or local one. Of course western one. We loved it 😍)
