I had a nice time staying at the accommodation. Cozy atmosphere, really nice breakfast and dinner! the place is really clean and have everything you need. They also provide the safari tour for a good price. Totally recommend it.

Small thing - some pool towels would be good, but the swimming pool is just brand new and they’re still finalising all the surroundings, so I’m sure it’ll be addressed once the pool grand opening is here! In the meantime, the pool was really nice and refreshing and top notch.

Wonderful guest house with a well sized room and a great new swimming pool. The staff were excellent and helpful. The dinner buffet was some of the best curry we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was equally good. The in-house organised safari was very good and great value. Mosquito nets on both beds. Small thing - face washers as well as towels - perfect.

This has been our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka. Amazing, calm jungle setting surrounded by nature right in the heart of Udawalawe by the elephant transition home and the national park. The rooms were modern, had good air conditioning, a ceiling fan and comfortable beds. The balcony outside the room was fantastic and had hammocks and seats you could recline on. The new pool is massive and such a great addition to the place! The owner was very helpful and gave us loads of advice and recommendations. He made us whatever we wanted for breakfast and dinner and the flavours were fantastic. Such an amazing host who made our stay really special.

It was perfect!

It was perfect! The family is really so nice and they organised everything for me (a pick-up at CMB, 2 safaris with great guides - seen everything including young leopards and bears in Yala, plus a driver for a full day to get me to my next hotel (with several sightseeing stopps)). Also I highly recommend the food! Breakfast (local) and dinner have been fantastic! For me 11 out of 10!

We stayed for one night but very impressive experiance. Host very kind and nice. Room was big and very very clean. Beds are comfortable. Shower clean and has new soap, shampho and paper. Towels are clean. Food is good and generaously portioned. We arrange safari from hotel and driver is very very experienced and sharphen eyes. He always stay away from other driver and we see 30+ elephant in just half day tour. Also see a lot of crocodiles, buffollos, different kind birds, peacock, deers, some lizarda etc. You must select this place in udawelle, dont look anywere else.

Fantastic place to stay in Udawalawe! The room was one of the best I have stayed in Sri Lanka, very comfortable and very clean. Great space to relax with comfy chairs and a hammock outside the room too. The host was brilliant making sure I was well looked after. He sorted the safari for me very easily and my dinners too, recommending a good restaurant nearby on my first night and cooking an amazing variety of dishes the second night. Couldn't be happier!

As expected this was a remote location so there is very little places to eat out near by.

Nature house was a perfect spot for us to stay to do a tour of the national park. Our host was super super accommodating. We were welcomed with a cold drink, they put a delicious buffet and breakfast on for us, took us on the safari tour and helped us find a driver to our next destination. Rooms were clean and had A/C. I would recommend!

The air con was quite loud but that’s about it.

Great hospitable host made me feel at home as I arrived after a long days travel. He gave me many tips and advice regarding my stay there and in Sri Lanka as a whole aswell as being an entertaining companion. The breakfast was great as was the buffet. Would definitely recommend

A quality facility with a rating of 20 out of 10. This place is like a 5 star hotel. Managed and owned by the best human in the world... we need more people like our host. A huge heart welcomed us with many years of hospitality experience. This is one of the most special spots to land on our planet... a must visit for any weary travelers who need some tender loving care! I would visit and stay every time I was in that part of our universe ✨️

Nothing really, the room was a little on the small side but that is just being picky.

Our Lonely Planet guide recommended this place and they were spot on. Nothing was too much trouble, laundry, safari, evening meals and then a transfer onto Tangalle and all at a very reasonable price. When we left in the owners car with his son driving us, Mum and Dad both waved us off like we were family. And the dinners and breakfasts were the best we'd eaten in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. I would not hesitate to recommend this place, it is fab and the people lovely.

Very friendly owner who helps you with everything. F.ex. he fixed us a car ride to Ella. Tasty food (breakfast, lunch, dinner). They offered a very nice safari for a reasonable price. Clean room, good facilities. Cosy. Definitely recommend!!

The nature house is located next to a beautiful little forest and it’s perfect spot for those who want to go and see safari. The owners make you feel like home, they are open but definitely not disturbing at any time. The safari was organized for us as we asked and we paid less than 30€ for the 4 of us ?2 aldults and 2 kids). Dinner rice and curry buffet was the best meal I had in Sri Lanka. It’s super clean and compfortable, nice sheets, good bed, spacious bathroom and aircon. I loved the stay there. They are building the swimming pool so if they have it finished it will be really 10/10. Loved it, thank you for having us!

Only small issue was the wet room got a bit too wet but no big problem, just don't have an enthusiastic first shower like I did.

Friendly and beautifully run guest house perfect for visiting Udawalawe. Nature House surpassed our expectations - the terrace outside our room over looking the jungle was a real highlight as was the tasty curry buffet and breakfast. The owner and his son were great hosts and we would recommend this to anyone. They have a pool finished in 2 weeks too so will be even more of a top place to stay soon!

We stayed an excellent two nights at Nature House. Great character and atmosphere. Balcony was a super place to relax and look out at the forest. Breakfast and evening meals good. The owner was especially sociable and helpful. We took an early morning safari organised by the owner and our safari driver was very experienced and pleasant, with an amazing eye for the most well camouflaged chameleon.

Nature house was absolutely lovely. My wife and our 10 month old and I stayed there for 2 nights. The hosts were immediately welcoming and hospitable. The bed and room were comfortable with ample space. The buffer dinner was absolutely lovely. The safari organised by the host using one of their drivers is also very good and as it is organised in house, it was flexible in timing which helped with our baby care duties.
