Great location - very close to the beach and the town centre. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable and had everything you’d need. For the price, a lot of hotels in Sri Lanka I’ve stayed in that I’ve paid for higher than this hotel won’t come with extra things like kettle, fridge, hair dryer etc, but Luaya Beach came with all of the above and air con. Bathrooms were very clean and modern with marbled tiles. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and definitely have expected to pay more for this hotel!

Luaya Beach is amazing. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, cozy, very clean, and have great AC. The property also has a nice garden. The beach is very close, even though I would say the nicer beaches are a long walk, or a short tuk tuk ride away. A lot of nice restaurants, and coffee shops are closeby. The staff is super friendly. The Sri Lankan breakfast also was a highlight, super delicious, and a big quantity. Laundry service also was fast and good, as well as fair priced. We loved our stay so much that we kept on extending nights :))

My stay at this hotel was extremely pleasant. The room was very comfortable and clean. The owner was highly courteous and attentive, especially considering my dietary needs, which were accommodated during breakfast. United KingdomLuaya Beach is the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Just 2 minutes walk from Tangalle Beach (really peaceful and quiet). The bed is really comfy and the bedroom/bathroom are both super clean. The garden is a lovely extra, such a nice place to eat breakfast. We recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast - all the things you would want. Supun was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We hope to come back.

The rooms were very clean, they had ac and a fan and there was even a fridge in the room which was super convenient. They offer a huge and delicious breakfast which we ordered and it was completely worth it. The area was very quiet and peaceful and there is a beach for swimming just a few minutes away on foot. The owner was very friendly and helpful, he gave us some advice on which bus to take continuing our journey and on good places to eat. It was a really nice stay, I highly recommend it.

The rooms were fully equipped with a mini bar, kettle (tea options), towels, working air con, small shampoo and conditioner. They offered both Sri Lankan breakfast and and English breakfast and both were amazing value for money, provided so much food and drink.

GermanyWe booked the room with the garden view, it was really beautiful. The staff were really friendly and polite upon arrival, we received a fresh coconut and they helped carry our luggage to the room. Initially, we wanted to book a Yala safari, but the owner recommended not to, because there had been no animals the last couple of days due to off season and he wanted us not to waste our money. We really appreciated his help and honesty, it was important to him to help instead of making the most money out of tourists. Great stay, such good value for money! Definitely recommend!

The manager generously took me to see the turtles laying eggs on a beach close by in the back of his bike one night. I only had the breakfast one day and it was so good, but too big for me. I was full for the rest of the day!

A few times while outside they bought a fan and incense sticks to make the experience even better. The localisation is great ; just next to the beach. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Amazing breakfast ; the manager and his sister shared with us their New Year’s cakes and they were so scrumptious. We had lovely chats and we got to know much more about the Sri Lankan culture.
