The staff were amazing and the location was perfect. If we come back to Trincomalee, we would stay here again for sure! Food at the restaurant/room service was also super reasonably priced. Breakfast also had a great selection

There is a lot of ants in the property We had a lot of ants in our shower so we had to move to another room In the next room we had lizard in the sink

Very good location, 3 minutes walk to the beautiful ocean beach, nearby bars and shops. We rented a scooter to get into town, it's a bit further away. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

The sun loungers around the pool have seen better days. Also only a few sun loungers available. But that didn't spoil our visit.

A lovely hotel within 5 minutes of the beach. Rooms set around the pool. Staff were great and very helpful. The food especially the evening meals were lovely and very good value. Very friendly place and staff helped us to book a trip to Pigeon Island (which we would recommend). A good location within an easy walk to beach / restaurants / bars. The location is perfect if you want to relax near the beach but want a quiet location.

Staff, especially Nishal, were excellent and went above and beyond to be helpful. Hotel had links with local watersports company, which were excellent and great value for money. City tour was also excellent and well worth doing.

A lovely, comfortable, clean hotel with great food and exceptional service. The staff really care that you have everything you need and they all go out of their way to make your experience a positive one. I arrived with an injured ankle and was treated with genuine concern, care and support from everyone throughout our 3-night stay. (Special shout-out to Nishal who went above and beyond to make sure I was ok.) It's also very well located for the beach and local restaurants. (Though we made the mistake of only eating at the hotel on our final day. The food was so good, we wished we hadn't gone elsewhere on previous evenings!) In general, we loved this place and would have been very happy to stay longer.

Had to move rooms twice in one day but not a big deal

I recently stayed at J7 Villaj Resort and had an overall wonderful experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The pool was fantastic, offering a great place to unwind and enjoy the sunshine. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure all our needs were met with a smile. Breakfast was delightful, with a variety of delicious options to start the day right. The location of the resort is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and close to numerous shops. However, we did have to move rooms twice in one day without a clear explanation as to why, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite this, I still highly recommend J7 Villaj Resort for a perfect getaway!

The water pressure is not strong, we had some problems with the water (but was fixed) and water temperature. Also there are some problems with the plumbing because in the morning there was a bad smell coming from the toilet/shower

J7 Villaj resort was a fantastic place to stay! The pool was lovely and clean and perfect for cooling off. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious with very generous portions. The staff were all exceptional and always ready to help. The location was one of the best parts, close to the beach, great restaurants like rice and curry just around the corner etc. The property also had really good signage and was easy to find from the street.

We enjoyed 8 wonderful days at J7 Villaj. The food was amazing, we also enjoyed the delicious mango smoothies made fresh to order by Vivien who along with Juba from reception & Thurai who looked after the restaurant made our stay special. The hotel is located in an excellent area & good value for money, highly recommend.

The only slight negative was that the lounger cushions around the pool could be a little softer. But that is really trying to pick a fault with the place.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at J7 Villaj, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted by warm and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. Not only that, we arrived close to 11pm and as we sat with a welcome drink, the manager came from home to welcome us personally. Now that is service. The room on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool was large, bright and clean. The plus was that the bed was so comfortable and ensured a good night’s sleep. Also, the comfortable chairs on the balcony were a great place to relax after a day at the beach with a nice cold drink. Talking of the beach, it’s only a 5min walk away and we were not disappointed. It has nice soft sand and has no garbage. There are plenty of sun loungers available at the various bars along the beach, usually for the price of a drink - but even that isn’t enforced that strongly. One of the highlights, though, of our stay was undoubtedly the dining experience at J7. The delightful food we won’t soon forget. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each dish was expertly prepared and presented well. The attentive waitstaff made sure every dining experience was a memorable one. The prices, whether for food or drink, are also some of the lowest in the area and their portion sizes are very good. You definitely can’t go wrong. The popularity is also shared by the number of locals who eat and have parties here. As you know when travelling, always eat where the locals eat. As for the hotel’s location, it couldn’t have been better. It was conveniently situated near Trincomalee, making it easy for us to explore the city’s attractions. Additionally, the hotel’s manager helped organize motorbike rentals and side trips at prices that were the same or cheaper than we found on the street. The attention to detail and the commitment to guest satisfaction at J7 truly sets it apart.
