Sri LankaThe TV only had 6 channels working with 11 channels on it. A/C needs to be repaired. Also appreciate if the front desk could be more quicker rather making the guest wait for keys more than 15 minutes.
All shops, banks were closed to the location. Easy access to the beach. Restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was good.

United KingdomLift not working and from reviews not been working for months. One person with us had COPD so far from ideal. No bar. Clearly an old hotel in need of a lot more renovation. Even the black floor tiles were worn down to the white. porcelain. Staircase walls dirty. Bed linen and towels not changed unless requested. Only 3 changes in 2 weeks. Shower screens never cleaned nor glass screens on balcony Only 10 sunbeds for a hotel of over 50 rooms. No sunshades/sun umberellas. Dining room was all glass windows which were in need of a clean as were all corridor windows. Pool area in need of power washing and grass in need of cutting.

Big size room, beautiful ocean view, the hotel is just on the beach, available all essentials (shops and cafeterias are around ), silent at night, I have got even iron board and iron for personal use, nice interior, swimming pool, terrace for sitting and watching ocean, balcony in each room, hot shower, polite and friendly staffs.

I emailed and texted several times after booking to make sure, but no one answered. I walked a long way to get to this hotel, but they canceled my room at the last minute. Their behavior was very unprofessional and uncomfortable.

We booked our accommodation and when we arrived they asked how many nights we wanted to stay and when we said just one they said they had no more rooms left even though we booked and confirmed the booking. This behaviour is unacceptable and left us without accommodation late in the afternoon forcing us to walk the streets looking for somewhere to stay. Thank you for ruining our trip to Hikkaduwa.

BelgiumHotel manager was very rude, demanded payment before entering the room, claiming credit cards cannot be used - practically extorting cash payment with conversion rate known only to him (aparently US dollars to local rupies at the date of booking - several months before the stay!). We ended paying this extraordibary managerial fees, which are not part of legal booking fees and services. Cleanliness is problematic, towels and linen are changed every 5 days and only after numerous demands. Broken light bulbs were never changed, only 1 out of 6 was working. Breakfast buffet was empty by 8:15am and never replenished.
The only positive thing about this hotel is its location and a room with the view over the ocean. However, avoid staying here by any means.

AustraliaLots could have been better. Our door didn’t open or close properly. They advertise a bar and restaurant however there was never anyone in there to ask for something so we made our own drinks and drank outside. The bathroom was very mouldy. For the 2 days we were there we couldn’t get a deck chair due to selfish people popping their towels on early in the morning and not using them (not the hotel’s problem of course) As usual they can’t get it all right.
Breakfast was suitable enough. View was good and the bedroom was ok. Plenty of places to eat nearby and on the beach. Swimming out the front was very good.

IndiaThe hotel didn't have elevator, never mentioned anywhere about it. Room was on second floor. There were no towels, bath mat, blankets or a working kettle in the room. Huge cockroaches were seen in the rooms. There was a country wide power shut down for about 6 hours and the property wasn't equipped with power backup . Candles were places unattended in every corner , stairs and walkways in the hotel calling in for a fire hazard. Staff didn't have a clue what to do , we had to ask for a day's refund and leave the property .
The hotel was right on the main road and easy access to the beach and water sports/ activities.

Indiathe lift maintenance was happening hence we had to climb up 2 floors but the staff was very helpful with our luggage both the times.
This is the best place if you want a walkable beach by the hotel as its just outside. The view from the room was amazing we could see the beach also the entire room setup was all blue very beachy. The food was amazing the seafood spread along with a variety of drinks , the market is just outside so you can do all your shopping as well, the beach just being right outside is a big plus so we could just walk out and step onto the beach, where the water was so clear and one could snorkel there. The ambience of the hotel was also good and everything was perfect.

United Kingdomi have serious concern about my booking which is Hikkaduwa beach hotel . I am disabled and my ACL is ruptured and my knee is swollen i cant even walk . and this hotel wrote they have lift and facilities for disabled person but here i come the lift is not working since month ! me being disabled booked this property only because of lift if thats not working whats the point me paying 103 dollars ? why did the hotel write such big lie scam that they have lift and facilities for disabled ? This is really scam you doing mentioning about facilities which you dont even give and especially claiming about your facilities related to Disabled person ! I will take this matter to [link removed]as your hotel staff already is rude and they have zero interest in the property when i spoke to them about this they dont even wana accept this issue and giving excuses that i joined month ago etc . If your staff is not willing to take authority about issues related to guests who else you want me tk speak ? To the opposite Bank staff ? And also please read your reviews month old still those all reviews are existing you didn’t bother to fix anything neither did you train your staff professionally and how friendly they need to be . I am a traveler and even in Srilanka I stayed in Mirrisa and Galle etc i met amazing hospitality and staff behaviour in the hotels i stayed through [link removed]but this your hotel is the first worst experience I had . the hotel staff is very rude they dont pay attention to anything
