It is getting really hot and also a bit dark in their cabanas.

We really liked the place and the location. The swimming pool was really nice. The staff was good and helpful.

the staff was super available - I had a really late check in and check out. I really appreciate their kindness in everything. it’s a really quiet place so perfect for relaxing and for family time. Owners were locals, which I think is really important to consider when booking an hotel (helping their community).

I went for a cabana with no a/c...entirely my fault. Slept with door open and fan on to keep cool. If you have issues with heat, book an a/c room.

Excellent pool, good food, very helpful staff. I'd loved to have stayed longer. Pool was my reason for booking here, as I love to swim laps. Its big enough to get a good swim, and as accommodation is quiet I had the pool to myself.

The pool and beach front weren't the cleanest (but this might be because we were there in the off season). A lot of plastic pollution on the beach which is so sad. We changed from a cabana to the chalet as the cabana was short on natural light and had more mosquitoes around.

A lovely hotel with a big garden and swimming pool in Nilaveli right by the beach. Breakfast was amazing and different each day (we went for local options). The staff were very friendly and accommodation (Thank you especially to Prashanth). We stayed in the chalet room which was closer to the pool and had a nice terrace.

The pool wasn’t cleaned enough. All they need to do is keep focus on more people cleaning it more often as there are trees near by and leaves fall in etc. it certainly is nothing to worry about it’s just I like a swimming pool to be immaculate and I think this is important for any hotel. Plus we saw other hotels with pools where it looked like no one had cleaned them so on the whole this one was pretty good.

The location was amazing. You cannot beat it. The pool was lovely and the rooms were huge and very clean with stunning view of the sea and beach. The staff were so amazing, helpful, polite, hard-working and kind.

We arrived to be told the specification of room we had booked wasn’t available. The alternative room wasn’t even ready despite us arriving 2 hours after check in and was sub standard-ripped meshing in the toilet, windows wouldn’t lock and it was a ground floor room so a security issue. We were told by the owner that we would be recompensed via a discount. When we came to check out, the owner reneged on this and tried to charge the full amount citing some nonsense about not being able to locate us to speak to us about cancelling the booking.com- I pointed out we were at the beachfront of the property, the pool and breakfast area every day. Breakfast was limited. We found there are better alternatives very close by- I would recommend looking into them. A sheepskin coat would have completed the amazing del-boy impersonation.

Location was excellent, on the superb beach. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Bathroom in cabana needs some tlc.

The place is really nicely located...the beach is superbe, staff are great, but not enough to manage the place. So be patient and enjoy the sea breeze and take it easy. At the end it is great, lovely dogs run around, Pradesh goes iver and beyond to fulfil all the wishes.

Room feels slightly unfinished- light fittings missing on wall etc and a phone to speak to reception would be useful though not essential. Food could be improved and pool cleaned a little more of leaves and insects.

Excellent location, staff and facilities. Food was ok. Staff member Arunpradash, I think his name was, was marvellous. Wonderful swimming pool and beautiful garden.

.The hot water is derived from solar. Due to the overcast weather, there was no hot water during my stay.There was no wifi in my room but the owner, kindly stopped up my phone data! Nilavelli beach was the most polluted beach I have ever visited! I have never seen so much plastic and glass rubbish on a beach anywhere. This is a huge environmental concern! The area is known for its marine life including whales feeding off shore. The sea must be filled with micro plastics.. I know that the bigger hotels clear their bit of the beach once the tourist season really gets underway but people should know what is allowed to enter the sea the rest of the year. Having travelled for a day to get to this beach myself and another French couple left saddened and disgusted by the condition of the beach.

High Park hotel exceeded all of my expectations. We had booked a cabana but were given an upgrade to a room with a balcony. The grounds are beautifully maintained as well as the pool which is huge. The beach out front is beautiful and lounge chairs are provided. The breakfast is super with a choice of western or Sri Lankan. All of the food at the restaurant has been delicious and very well priced - less than at the nearby beachfront restaurants. But what is the most exceptional is the staff. Your wish is their command.

The only suggestion would be a mosquito net over the bed.

The staff is so kind and attentive, there was always someone tending to the garden, preparing a chair at the beach for you, felt very well looked after. Also, I was confused by the comments, but I really feel like it was a good value for money. The breakfast was very good. I also had dinner there once and really enjoyed the prawn curry. The bungalow was nice and clean. During the day it was hot inside, but at night it was confortable with the fan.

The hotel is too expensive, it doesn’t deserve all the money. The price is the same of an up level hotel even if it is not, altought it is well structured. Also the service is poor compared to the price.

The location, it is on the beautiful beach of Nilaveli. The waiter is very kind.

No toiletries. Overworked staff, one male staff has to do all the work. The owner didn’t let our driver sit in the restaurant to wait for us. Breakfast is as bad. Pool wasn’t clean.
