Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

MaldivesThe access to the hotel seems to be difficult due to the location. There needs to be more signage that the hotel is on the 19th Floor of the complex. I was looking for the hotel for a few minutes when the security person guided me to the hotel. Apart from that, the carpet could be cleaner.. I also found that the temperature on the shower was inconsistent but that's not a major issue.
I did like the view from the hotel. The staff were very helpful. The first room I was offered had a malfunctioning AC, and they immediately attended the issue and transferred me to another room. The price point of the hotel is exceptional. All of the staff including security were very kind.

United KingdomThe location is a bit away from the main tourist points, but it's fairly easy and cheap to get around via tuktuk. I'd recommend downloading and using either the PickMe app or Uber to avoid getting ripped off. The main road outside the hotel is very busy during the day, so I got stuck in traffic coming to and leaving the hotel, although I think this is the norm for most places in Colombo.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They helped me arrange an airport drop off and were happy to help with various requests. The room was a generous size, clean and comfy beds. The hotel is on the 19th floor and I had a really good view of the city from my room. I would stay here again if I come back to Colombo.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hatch House! After two weeks of budget homestays while exploring Sri Lanka, this was a delightful upgrade. The hot water shower was a dream, and all the facilities – from the hairdryer to the AC and wifi – worked perfectly. The room was impressively modern, and having a bakery, small supermarket, and ATM downstairs, although closing a bit early, added great convenience. The staff is really helpfull and nice, I really appreciate in allowing me an early check-in without any additional cost when I arrived too early in Colombo. Highly recommend! I also like the fact that my room already has iron and ironing board.

Sri LankaIt would be great to have more water bottles in the room and a box of tissues. Occasionally, there's a minor issue with the phone disconnecting when calling the operator. This is not a major concern though, as the front desk is conveniently close by, making it easy to address any questions or requests in person.
My recent stay at Hatch House was the perfect fusion of comfort and functionality during a business trip to Colombo. Opting for an overnight stay to accommodate a series of meetings and a desire to work late into the night, Hatch House provided an ideal setting, sparing me the hassle of hopping between cafes or the bustle of coworking spaces. Hatch House lived up to its promise of high-speed internet, a crucial factor for my work requirements. The generous desk/ledge extending along half a wall provided ample workspace, offering a quiet and dedicated environment for focused work. While the room provides basics for tea and coffee, it's important to note that only one water bottle is provided daily. If you require additional supplies, 'Glomark' on the ground floor is a convenient option for purchasing essentials. Concerning dining options, there's a Barista on-site, and they offer room service upon request. Hatch House also recently opened a new restaurant and bar. For a broader culinary experience, consider using Uber Eats to order from a variety of Colombo's top restaurants if the hotel's options don't meet your preferences. What keeps me coming back (7 times and counting) is the consistent service. Anthony and the front desk team are on point, always ready to assist. Highly recommended!

PolandOn the hotel's website they offer airport shuttle, but when we asked they didn't give us any information about schedule, but they offered us private transport, which is not by definition airport shuttle.
New and modern hotel, which is located in convenient neighborhood because there is a few places to eat and you can easily take tuktuk to the city centre. Hotel room was spacious, neat and tidy with extra drinks, check in was easy and stuff was kind and borrowed us EU outlet hanging. Highlight of the stay was the view on tower "Lotos".
