The houses are super clean and brand new. Bed is very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and very well maintained, wild peacocks walk freely through the garden. The hosts are super friendly and very helpful. They cook fresh food for you on every request and have a very wide menu with good prices. I highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a stay in Tangalle and going to the Rekawa Turtle watch.

A beautiful place located right by the lagoon. It’s an ideal spot for relaxation and workation. The bungalow is very comfortable and new, with excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds, well-equipped bathroom, and super-fast internet. The surroundings are perfect for wildlife watching and have beautiful sandy beaches. If you’re not a fan of crowded places and want to feel a deep connection with nature and people, look no further—Hanguk Lanka Villa will be a great choice. Great and very helpful hosts.

The location was very relaxing and calm. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and the beautiful lagoon is right next to Hanguk Lanka. With the help of the owner, we rented a Kayak and explored the lagoon, where we have seen monkeys, birds and peacocks. These animals can also sometimes be seen from your very own terrace. The room was incredibly clean and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the room was equipped with everything you need including an AC. In the area there is the turtle hatchery (not a tourist trap, like some others) and some good restaurants. However, the restaurants are not really needed as the breakfast, lunch and dinner at Hanguk Lanka is very delicious. The price performance ratio is incredible and the friendliness and constant care of the staff/owners could be felt at any time.

Nice Bungalow around 10min from Tangalle. New built - very clean and comfortable! Close to Tangalle beach, where you can enjoy a beautiful empty beach. It's run by a lovely family, very helpful and friendly. We also had breakfast there, which was very generous and good. Definitely recommended!

I like the bungalow very much. It was clean, surrounded by flowers. It was really lovely, spacious, CALME. Peacocks were coming in, birds were singing. Heaven. I also had breakfasts at the property and every day I tried something new from the Sri Lankan cuisine. The price was quite ok. The village has rather complicated roads system. I got lost, the owner came to pick me up.

Place is located 10 minutes walking to the beach 🤎 You can order here breakfast which is delicious and in a good price 🤎 Also I would highly recommend having dinner here. Absolutely nothing, everything was perfect.

The cabin is your oasis of calm and relaxation, overlooking well-maintained grounds, the terrace is inviting you to sip your tea or cool off with a beer, which the host is always happy to provide at a very reasonable rate. You have all the facilities, and everything is spotless. We also met the most attentive and polite host during our Sri Lanka trip. We had a very early start the next day and he even messaged us after our stay to ask if we got to our destination safely. I wish we will revisit this stunning location and spend more than a night!

The only thing that can be improved is the WiFi speed. Otherwise this place is perfect.

There is a massive garden where the accommodation is and you have often wild animals such as monkeys and peacocks in the area. You get a lot of privacy in the villa and ours was sparkling clean. We got delicious breakfast in the morning at reasonable and fair prices. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. The bed is also very comfortable. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing and probably the best stay we had during our Sri Lanka trip. The entire place matches the description and images. It is very well maintained and has great facilities for the price we pay. The best part is the host, who goes the extra mile to ensure we have an amazing stay. Their food is very good and the quantity is sufficient. If you're looking for a quiet stay a little away from the main town, I highly recommend you to consider booking this place.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hanguk villa. 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗛𝗨 was an incredible host, even upgrading us to a room aircon and providing a delicious breakfast on the balcony. The villa is beautiful and peaceful, and the bathroom is lovely and modern. The best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the closest beach restaurant, so if you are dining out you will be walking back in the dark. If you are a female solo traveller like me, a proper flashlight vs. phone light would probably make the walk back more comfortable. Oh and there is no shampoo or shower gel, despite the description.

Our stay at Hanguk Lanka Lagoon Villa was simply wonderful! The warm hospitality of the family made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was just perfect - from the cleanliness of the rooms to the breathtaking garden. The owner was always reachable and took care of our well-being. It was undoubtedly our best accommodation in Sri Lanka, and we highly recommend anyone visiting Tangalle to come to Hanguk. We can't wait to come back!

The bathroom was attracting frogs and we found it a bit disturbing. I suggest they put a net on the bathroom window which would prevent the frogs from entering. I wish it had a pool :)

Beautiful private villas, only 2 on the property. Nicely designed, spacious and comfortable, surrounded by a beautiful garden full of monkeys and peacocks. The beach was 5-10 min walking. The hosts were kind and welcoming.

Really great place with very kind and attentive service! Privately owned with two bungalows. It was probably the most quiet and peaceful place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Compared to other options nearby it was very spacious and comfortable and has air conditioning and ventilation. Very large and tasty home made breakfast. Thank you for the good experience!

This place is a little paradise and was one of our highlights while traveling in Sri Lanka. We were happy we booked several days here. The family is super kind, helpful and nice people. The rooms are big and so is the bathroom. You have your own porch where you can enjoy the evening. You are surrounded by nature, can see lots of peacocks and the beach is not far away. The best part about the beach is, that it’s not even crowded. We recommend it most definitely and will come back for sure!
