The Internet could be better.

You need to remember that the standard in Sri Lanka is different than in Maldives or Europe. But considering this, it was one of the best hotels in this country! Very kind and helpful man at the reception :) Good breakfast - buffet. Nice lobby, big rooms (we've got bigger than we booked). Very close to Coconut Tree Hill and perfect beach. Good place to snorkel right under the hill - I've seen an enormous turtle!

Firstly, the staff were absolutely amazing, everyone was so helpful. The managers were always on hand to happily organise trips/ taxis & advise on anything else needed. However as per other reviews, the hotel is tired & needs some tlc. The owner needs to give it a lick of paint & make some minor repairs to remove that sad & neglected feel . The hotel is in a lovely location, directly opposite Coconut Hill & 5 mins to Turtle beach. For the fabulous staff, the way they look after their guests & its great location, its definitely value for money & i would still recommend a stay there.

The door of our balcony didn't close. We only stayed one night, but otherwise this would have been an issue. Felt it was a little bit tired overall.

The hotel is really close to the beach and close to lots of restaurants and shops. The pool was nice and complimentary breakfast was ok.

Very little. We had a lovely stay. Staff were friendly but somewhat reserved. It is only a minor suggestion, but little labels at the breakfast buffet to identify foods would have been helpful. There were some things I would have liked to have tried but wasn't sure what they were and in what context to use / eat them!

Our family room was a very spacious room with large beds. There is a beautiful pool, the gardens are lovely and the hotel is close to (quieter) Turtle beach - yes - on both occasions that we snorkelled, we saw turtles. Breakfast constituted some Sri Lankan and some continental options. The kids loved the crepes. We enjoyed playing pool every night, too. Tuk tuks readily available to get to the middle of town.

Aircon in our room was a bit touch and go. Everything was a bit tired, glad we got a sale price.

Nice pool area, good sized room with nice balcony and bed was comfy. Nice green grounds and good location a little out of the main Mirissa strip.

Location - slightly too far from the main beach and the walk was along the busy road although they are plenty of tuk tuks. Main problem is that it is all slightly run down. The doors onto our balcony needed a special trick to open and close, the door to my children’s room had been broken but fixed with a bolt that required 3 of us to lean against to close properly.

Staff were friendly, games in the lobby were fun.

The Air Conditioner was having a very loud saund after a while of use. The same applies for a fan. After telling them they said that for AC it is because or ice forming due to overuse and should not happen again. But it did, which ruined the night sleep. Tea bags in the morning were bad - seemed rotten from the humid air. I hope the staff will check this and change.

Overall we enjoyed the stay and would stay again. The pool area was really nice. It offers laundery service. Location is quite central. Room had everything ones need. Fresh juices were pricy but really tasty.

You can still feel that they haven't fully recovered from the crisis. Sometimes the hotel seemed a bit empty and the AC was quite loud. The manager assured me that they are going to fix that though, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

The pool is the best part of the hotel. We saw monkeys and monitor lizards directly from the pool. Breakfast was nice as well. The rooms are big and clean. The hotel is located just across the street from coconut tree hill. To Mirissa beach and town it is about a 400-500 LKR Tuk Tuk ride.

Very nice place in a good location. We felt at home here. The staff is very friendly. Great Pool area. Good breakfast and good coffee (rare in Sri Lanka). Also we enjoyed playing Billard and kicker. Booked two nights and stayed for a week. 100% recommended.

The swimmingpool didn’t look very clean. It was a 15/20 minute walk from the center, which was great for some peace and quiet, but in the evening not so nice.

A really great place with super friendly and helpfull staff!!! Breakfast was amazing! The room was big and clean and the bed was great. It had a big balcony with oceanview and two comfortable chairs. Bathroom with hot water. Big restaurant / communal area downstairs.

location not brilliant. far of Mirissa center, which is not super convenient to take a quick shower for example. rooms were nice, but the bathroom not super clean, some ‘ugly’ spots visible around toilet and in shower area. dinner not in line with high quality breakfast.

rooms were fine, both airco and fan. nice view on coconut hill. shower nice and warm. lot of space. service level very high, staff was super friendly and helpful! breakfast very extensive and high quality. 5-10 minute tuktuk ride to Mirissa center.

There were lots of children who screamed in the morning. It was not written that the hotel is family-oriented. The wifi didn't work at all.

Very beautiful colonial-style lobby. In the morning a very tasty continental breakfast is served. The hotel has a nice pool, but the grass near it needs more care. Very helpful staff.

The rooms were very comfortable and bathrooms were nice. Staff are lovely and so accommodating - they helped us with a very early check in on arrival. Highly recommend the chef's Sri Lankan curry and devilled chicken.

Booked it thru booking.com Check in:   it was smooth we were given best room The room:the rooms are large colonial type neat and clean we felt happy to see the room Breakfast: it was a great spread CHEF THEJAN  has been curating the menu at espirit and he is innovative and listens to customers and promply caters  to their needs. Whatever we tried during breakfast is tasty and filling.
