We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

ItalyThe location is amazing but quite far from Anuradhapura and mihintale. You’ll have to rent a scooter or move with taxis.
The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel is nice and cozy, green grass, nice trees and a big pool make it the perfect place to relax. Rooms are big and spacious.

We had such a great time. The ambiance is so relaxing, the food is good (and very reasonable prices) and the staff is really kind and helpful. The garden is wonderful as well. We visited the Mihintale site early morning and it was so beautiful and Black and White Hotel arranged our tuk tuk. The hotel also arranged our taxi to Kalpitiya, our next destination. Last but not least: the pool was also nice, but the beds were not so comfy.

NetherlandsGreat green spacious property. We liked the swimming pool and the family oriented atmosphere. Very polite and friendly staff who will make you as comfortable as possible. Our advise would be to spent 2 days full days ( 3 nights) in the area to see the old city of Anuradhapura one day and the other day the temple in Minhintale.

Beautiful garden and vegetable/fruit trees beyond the wall. Lovely seating area around pool under cover with large tables to play card games etc! Lovely large pool. Plenty of breakfast with fresh fruit, fruit juice and bread. Pancakes were delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful

FranceThe equipment by the pool could be enhanced, like having mattress on deckchairs. In the bathroom, it would have been nice to have something to put our toiletries.
The place is beautiful, in the middle of nature with many trees around and a lot of birds, this is very peace. The food is very good, you should try their kothu and rice curry, delicious! The staff was very helpful and attentive and we felt like home there! We originally booked a balcony room upstairs and they offered another room downstairs which was more convenient for us. I definitely recommand this place for few nights.

United KingdomThis is a perfect little hotel, with 14 rooms on the outskirts of town in a quiet location. It has a wonderful setting, with the pool as the main feature. We had a room beside the pool which is recommended (although there is no WiFi signal in the rooms.). The room was simply appointed but a good size as was the bathroom. The a/c and ceiling fan were very effective. We were welcomed with a glass of papaya juice, which is a nice touch. Dinner and breakfast are very good and excellent value. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The pool is a very good size, clean with some sunbeds available. Enjoyed our dip in there on a very hot afternoon. The staff kept the pool and grounds very clean and tidy. They have free driver accomodation which us a huge plus. We really enjoyed our stay and woukd happily return again.

United KingdomCleaning of the large fish tank (hoses running through the restaurant and unwelcome smells) when evening meals were being served could have been done earlier in the day but it was an exceptional oversight.
Black and white themed guest house/hotel. Nice well kept tropical garden setting with a nice swimming pool and infant pool. Polite and helpful staff and owner family. Well located for visits to Mihintale Temple. Food and drink available on site. Other bars and restaurants are a short tuk tuk ride.

We had a great stay here. Extremely friendly and helpful staff - they even helped us out with tuktuk problems. Breakfast was great - we are travelling on a budget but was great value for the money and good combination of western and Sri Lankan breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious and we enjoyed the pool a lot. All together, highly recommended!

United KingdomThere was a group there having a party whilst we were there and although they didn't really make much noise, we did feel like we were in the way. We ate a couple of times in our room instead of the restaurant as we didn't want to be in the middle of a corporate party. The one night we did eat in the restaurant the group started setting up projectors right by our table, even moving one of my family members out the way whilst she was trying to feed her son which was really uncomfortable and made us leave quickly after we'd finished eating. The staff tried to make us comfortable, but if they are having a big party like this I think it would be better just to keep a small area separate for other guests so they don't feel rushed or that they are in the way of a corporate/ group event. We did have a nice stay and it's a lovely hotel which is why I've rated it high as I think the party thing wasn't a normal situation.
It was a nice hotel, grounds are beautiful and staff were friendly, food was ok, but we had to send it back as it came out cold a couple of times.
