The room size was perfect for a solo traveller. The location is perfect within walking distance of major sites. Even though it is on a side street/alley it felt very safe and there are plenty of nearby cafes and vendors that are open until past midnight on the main road so getting back late is not a concern. As a heads up the bathroom is a wet bathroom which may be strange to westerners.

The bed wasn't very comfortable and there was only one thickness of pillow (too thick for me, so I used my jacket as a pillow). I would've appreciated a few more amenities in the room. I bought some soju but then realized there were no cups in the room. There was also no shelving or cupboards in which to put clothes, even though there was plenty of room. Blackout curtains would've helped a lot during the summer. And any sort of art or decoration on the walls would be nice. Finally, the hotel's info specifically says they only supply the small towels and not full-sized bath towels; I understand this is Korean custom but they clearly know that many tourists like the larger towels so I would think they'd at least have them available upon request. I also wished the front desk had slightly longer hours. I think the cost was a bit on the high end for what it was, but it might've been lower if I'd booked farther in advance. All this said, I still had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I liked the location on a quieter alley near a bigger street and near subway stops. It was also a short walk to some major sights. The room was clean and spacious (a double). I liked having the work space, and the Wifi worked well. The staff member (I only ever met one) was friendly. It was convenient to have a little cafe right downstairs. The main thing I liked was that I had requested a very quiet room because I'm a light sleeper and that was what I got--I heard some noise from neighboring guests until about 10pm one night but it was otherwise quite quiet, which is very important to me. I didn't really use the rooftop area (note the hours are limited to the same hours as the front desk, but I appreciated that because otherwise guests would've been up there late at night making noise and disturbing me in the room below), but it looked like a pleasant space for people to relax indoors or outdoors.

The location was exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even contacting me before my arrival to make sure I arrived in time to check in. The room was very comfortable and clean, with everything that I needed.

Bathroom towels they provide are minuscule, although they do the job.

Next to a temple, so I had an amazing view from my room. Even though they provided ear plugs in case you're bothered by the morning service I only heard very faint noises on a Sunday morning, and it was actually pleasant to wake up to them. The room is rather small, but you don't really feel it because of the way it's arranged. I loved sleeping "upstairs", and the little "downstairs" nook for watching TV was simply perfect. Also, I found the bathroom to be rather spacious, compared to other places in SK. It's walking distance from one of the palaces, and there's restaurants all around. It's also next to an area where lots of Koreans come out in the evenings to socialise/eat, so make sure to walk around and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Perfect value for money!

There is no bath towel included with the room. I’m not sure if that helps them keep prices low (?), but it is a little detail that would really put this hotel over the top. Additionally, I wish the hours of the top floor comment area were a little bit more extended. I also don’t really think I would stay in this area again if I return to Seoul, but that is my choice, not a fault of the property.

The hotel is absolutely adorable and has a number of great amenities for the low price. It is quiet, cozy, and clean. The room itself was super cute and cozy and had plenty of space for just one person.

No place to sit other than the bed and one stool. But that’s because the room is small. Front desk hours are limited on weekends, again because it’s a small operation.

The location is very close to the Changdoekgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. Rooms are small and the shower is in the middle of the bathroom, but it’s clean and quiet. The Tong Tong crew was exceptional in helping us find an ATM for international bank cards and advised us on the best way to get to Gyeongju by bus on a very busy holiday when trains were full. Really appreciate their extremely helpful attitude and perfect English from a charming crew member.

It’s not so much a “didn’t like” but the shower takes some getting used to as a western person! Just a little heads up.

The rooms are cute and functional, the rooftop and basement lounge are an absolute bonus and the communication and staff are exceptional. 10/10 would recommend and would love to come back one day.

You can reach the hotel through a “main” street or through an alley. If you use Naver, it will suggest you go through the alley (one minute shorter). But I would avoid this option at night.

The location is the BEST! Close to a metro station with many connections. If you prefer walking, is conveniently situated between the main two palaces, close to Ikseondong and Insadong, and not even that far from Cheonggyecheon stream or Myeongdong. The atmosphere is lively at night too. It’s a perfect little hotel for solo travellers.

A great place for a solo traveller and a first time visit in Seoul. Close to the palaces, with a lot of nice cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood but also very quite. The metro station is just 4 minutes away. The staff was very helpful and kind. Definitely a place to stay if you're visiting Seoul!

Beds were very firm for western backs. Ask for a room on a higher floor, as lower floors get affected by neighbouring buildings light pollution. Hotel could consider black out blinds. Duplex rooms (bed above the sitting space) requires a bit a physical effort to get into.

Great location, close to many historical tourist attractions, subway, districts of Insadong & Buchon Hanok. All you need in a petite package.

The bathroom in my room did not have a separate shower space which made it a little awkward to take a comfortable shower, which was my only slight inconvenience during my stay.

Great location with easy access to subways and the ikseon-dong area. Good value for the size and cleanliness of the room. Staff was friendly and professional, and communicating with the staff via kakaotalk was very convenient.

There’s nothing I didn‘t like about the accommodation, only both google maps and naver map seemed confused, so taxi drivers had a hard time finding the place.

Excellent location if you want to explore the Jongno-gu / Bukchon area, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good coffee and muffins 🙂. And the room (I had a single maisonette), although small, is very cleverly furnished and organised, as is the entire hotel. As the name says, it‘s „petit“, so do not expect much space, but it‘s cozy and comes at a fair price. It‘s not „posh“ in the conventional way but has style, charm and a personal touch.
