Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australia- My only real complaint is the lack of laundry facilities in the hotel. If you install a washer/dryer combo unit under the sink, it would get 10/10. - Minor, but no towel rack next to sink for hand washing.
- Spacious, clean room. The steam closet was a nice touch. - Comfortable bed, fantastic blackout blinds, and great soundproofing made for a very nice sleep! - The shower was huge, and the water temperature and pressure were excellent. Large towels were available on request. - 2 minute walk to the bus interchange, so getting around was easy. - Very helpful staff.

NorwayA breakfast offer would be nice. Sterile interior Massage chair in the room is nice but getting old and worn.
Do not be fooled by a modest and hidden entrance. The rooms are big, clean and you are in the center of the city. 200m from the bus station, from where you can get to all the attractions around the city. Had a "premium" room 35sqm, everything looked brand new. Very simple interior, bot large comfy bed. Worth mentioning that they serve no breakfast at the hotel, but just outside you find "Popping bagle" where you can get a simple breakfast and warm coffee. More places down the street. Recommended.

NetherlandsCushion was a bit hard for my personal preference.
I recently stayed at a hotel conveniently located near the bus terminal, making it easy to explore the area if you are planning to use the bus. Near the hotel is also a CU 24/7 store, which is very convenient. There are some couple of restaurants in the neighbourhood (Burgerking, Beer and Chicken restaurant), but for more decent ones you need to take a bus or taxi or walk half an hour. The room I was given was spacious and clean, which was a big plus. The bed was comfortable, though I found the cushion a bit too hard for my personal preference. One thing to note is that this hotel operates as a self-help facility, meaning there isn’t a lot of staff presence. For breakfast you need to go to the coffee store near the bus terminal, Burgerking or the Starbucks. However, I must commend the cleaners for their diligent work; they kept the place tidy and well-maintained. Overall, it's a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience and cleanliness, though those who prefer more staff interaction might want to keep this in mind.

United StatesWhat an amazing hotel! We arrived around 2:00pm and were kindly allowed to check in early. We loved our 5th floor room. Very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The 75 inch flat screen wall-mounted TV with Netflix and YouTube blew our minds. So cool! Good A/C that we could control inside our room. Small refrigerator but that was no big deal. Two free bottles of water were provided per day. Room had 3 level glass windows so it was very quiet. Awesome blackout blinds, we slept great. Microwave was available in the hallway. One gentleman at the front desk spoke great English. Free Americano/espresso machine is located in the lobby. Not a lot of western food nearby. It's pretty much BHC chicken or bust.

Great room with huge TV. First hotel I ever stayed with a massage chair, computer and clothes steamer. Unusual but fun!

South KoreaThe location nearby has a lot of cheap looking structures, so it was a bit eery to walk along at night. Other than that, considering the price it was good.
The location was right next to the station, so it was easy for the travellers to visit, and also the room was spacious enough.

NetherlandsLittle towels, but we got large ones when we asked for it.
Very comfortable bed. Spacious room, bathroom and terrace. Soundproof room. Next to bus terminal. Nearby supermarket, restaurants, shops, tombs. In the lobby a bean to cup coffeemachine, the whole day delicious coffee. Very kind people at the reception. Great rooftop terrace for all guests with nice view. Very large TV, with casting possibilities.

ItalyOur room was great! We had a huge room with all the comforts. Bed is big and comfortable. There is a desk and even a computer where to play games. Big TV with Netflix. The room even had a fridge which I think worked like an iron. Internet worked very well. Big bathroom with shower and bath tube. Staff does not speak a word of english but you can communicate using google translator. Despite the lack of english, they try their best to help. Location is a bit out of the centre, but close to the bus station.

PolandNothing, I enjoyed it a lot!
We spent there one night. Hotel was great, rooms were clean and very neat. It was equipped with towels and extra gadget that you might need during travel. I was truly surprised when I found out a bed heating and PC in the room. Staff was very friendly and even though I don't know any Korean, we communited smoothly and without any issues. Hotel is located nearby a bus station and it's not glamours around it, but it was close to the main roads, restaurants and public transport. Parking lot was quite big. If we haven't planned our trip different, we would they there longer.

New ZealandKettle supplied but no tea or coffee in the room. Coffee machine was in the lobby. Condoms were supplied in the toiletry kit, lol. Small towels only supplied first night, but big towels were supplied for the second night. Musty smell from the drains and some mould on the bathroom ceiling. The Aircon drains onto the bathroom floor, so constantly wet across the floor. There was a leak through the top sill of the balcony door which dripped into the room during a downpour.
The hotel is close to a red light area but Al’s close to the park where the tombs are. The sockets were round and our adapter was square so they kindly loaned us a round adapter. Large TV easy to operate. The bed was very large and comfortable.

AustraliaWe had chosen a room with a terrace thinking that would guarantee plenty of natural light inside. That was NOT the case. A slither of a glass door led to a narrow balcony, where in turn the view and the light were blocked by metal sheets. Instead of paying for natural light and views, we paid for computers, bathtub, and a toilet on steroids. The room had a kettle, but no coffee or tea. The paper cups were not replenished by housekeeping.
For people who want two computers (! not just wifi), a huge TV, bathtub, a toilet with a multitude of functions and a terrace for smoking, our room would probably be just perfect. We liked the big bed, and that the mattress was not as hard as in some other places. We also liked that there were big towels and we did not have to ask for them separately, and that we had been able to leave our luggage with the 24-hour reception before check-in. The shower was well constructed in that it did not flood the whole of the bathroom.
