Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Perfect location for a Namsan walk. Second year in a row that we came here for the last weekend of April to enjoy a spring walk in between the flowers. The walking bridge that allows you to cross from the hotel directly to the park is very. nice and makes you forget how busy the traffic can be. This year we also walked down to the iconic Leeum museum to complete a perfect weekend. As for the hotel itself…world class and the only reason for not scoring it a 10/10 is because of the awkward parking situation…no physical connection to the hotel itself.

United KingdomPricey, but we can't complain.
Have been to the lounge before but it's first time staying. Expected a very small room but it was more than adequate. The view was fantastic, the room decoration and furniture were of top quality. A short walk to Gyungridan-gil with a lot of cafés, bars and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent!!!

Hong KongThe elevators are a disaster. If you’re travelling at a busy time of the year, there simply aren’t enough elevators for the size of the property. Over the summer, wait times easily took as long as 5 minutes, and on bad days, you might not even catch an elevator - a staff member fetched a bunch of us from the 19th floor and took us to a cargo lift. The suites are small for a property of this stature. I would be very wary booking a normal room considering how small a suite is already. This is huge staycation spot for Korean locals. That’s where they’re making their money. Be mindful of Korean holidays, because it was unbearable how packed the property was. This contributed to the bad elevator situation, surely, and good luck using the pool. Speaking of the pool, since it’s a lot of local staycationers and weekenders with families, it does end up feeling like a family resort as opposed to a luxury hotel. The elevators are wet from people not towelling off properly from the pool, as they opt to dry off and shower back in their rooms instead. At the end of the day, it comes down to your expectations. If you’re thinking you’re booking a luxury hotel in the mountains away from the riff raff, you definitely are not. It’s obviously a nice property, and it’s obviously a 5 star, but, to no fault of the staff, the experience might not feel 5 star is all.
The views from the suites over the Han River were spectacular. Also, the food in the Club Lounge was very good value and great for kids in the morning. They were accommodating for kids’ dinner sets too, preparing takeout orders for mine, as kids aren’t allowed in the Club Lounge after 6pm.

ChinaThe elevator ride can get tricky during rush hours. When it happens, the hotel does have staff on the lobby level and pool level to manage the waiting line, but do expect extra long wait time.
The service was superb. The hotel staff is very attentive from concierge, front desk to dining service, really all the way around. The outdoor pool is amazing. It gets busy during holiday time, and the hotel has divided whole day into 4 session system to manage the crowd, which seems to be quite effective. However, the pool can still get busy in the afternoon, especially during and before the weekend. The room size is smaller than usual, but you get everything you’d need. I have a teenager, a tweenager, and a smaller boy. We were able to fit in comfortably in a king-size bed room with a sofa that can be converted to an extra bed. The hotel is situated on the top of a mountain in a nice neighborhood, right above Itaewon. The view is spectacular, and I enjoyed quietness from being away from the crowd. It’s an easy taxi ride to Itaewon, Myeong-dong, Dongdaemum etc, the usual tourist area. There are many restaurants along a short hill walk from the hotel. If you want to stay, the hotel has many restaurant options and the deli can be the convenient option as well.

United StatesThis was the wrong type of property for me personally. It’s also just very busy. I was not expecting to have to wait in line or buy food or drink just to sit in some of the lobby. Of course the views were amazing! And the staff super helpful. It’s also very scented in the lobby hotel which is hard for people with chemical sensitivities.

AustraliaPhenomenal hotel in a great location with comfortable, well designed rooms and polite, attentive staff. The Gallery is a great place to relax and have a light meal with a view overlooking the city. Breakfast is superb. The hotel is located next to Namsan Park with a direct connection, so you can go for a walk and pretend you aren't in the world's 3rd largest city.
