Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalyApartment could be better maintained. It could be better cleaned before arrival (although hosts offered cleaning during the stay). Air con units are very important to have in Cambodia and one was not working at all while the other was barely cooling. If those were fixed the apartment would be a 10.

ItalyThere is a kitchen but not really much cooking equipment nor cutlery. I was only provided one plastic pot which was falling apart so I went to a convenience store and bought a small pan.
This apartment is worth it for the bed alone - softest mattress I've had in Asia. On top of that it's very large and spatious, with working A/C and fans in every room, and very well positioned. The host was nice and refunded me one night when my travel plans changed due to my flight being rescheduled.

United KingdomThe lift was not working during our stay, but staff was very helpful in getting our luggage to the apartment. The apartment is a new one, and the owners are adding more utilities, so it will be great in a few months.
The apartment is very spacious, and the location is just next to the gallery and a very good pub. Theary was very helpful.

Czech RepublicThe apt seemed to be still in renovation - tap in the kitchen wasnt working and toilet was leaking. Staff promised to check it but didnt come at all. The sheets werent too fresh as well. We didnt feel very comortable there.
Spacious apt with well equiped kitchen and good functioning A/C. Nice and flexible staff (didnt charge us for the second night when our plans changed).
