Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIf I had to be nitpicky the pool is too shallow you can't have a swim but that's it. If you are going to Phnom Penh stay here
I love my time here. We booked for 5 days but ended up staying for 10. It's quiet but still only a few minutes from everything. Hire a motorbike for 6-8 dollars and travel around it's worth it Room was great staff were so lovely id definitely go back

New ZealandThat picture window; when is an alley wall a metre away a city view. The pool is miniscule though deep in part. It appears much larger in the photoesof the property. The heatpump had a very very irratating squeak.
The tuk tuk/remak from the boat pier knew where to go and took me there smoothly and quickly, not subsequently always true. The room had a large picture window, onto a narrow alley full of motorbikes. The shower was hot and ran so quickly. The bed was comfortable. The room was serviced rapidly. The remak driver assosciated with the hotel went the extra mile when I had to get to the train station at 5.30. His charge was ridiculously low for such an hour.

AustriaThe AC in the first room wasn’t working properly, but they were very friendly and changed our room and the second one was really good. We ordered the night before breakfast for our bus ride in the morning for 7:30, but they didn’t prepare it. It’s very disappointing, because we ordered the night before, we paid 18$!!! for it and didn’t get it at the end, because it needed so long and we would have missed our bus. They didn’t even give us the money back, what should be done by themselves immediately.
Nice room, good bathroom, balcony and pool were nice, good location

NorwayVery good English speaking and friendly service oriented staff. While waiting for our late night flight, we could leave our luggage in a safe area, use the pool, AC sitting launch, enjoy the good food, and just feel good. Family of four. Highly recommend if you look for a quiet place in the big city!

HungaryThe staff were very helpful, kind and friendly, like a family. Special thanks to Pauline and all the girls, and Mr. Phat, who is not only a tuk-tuk driver, but also an excellent tour guide, with great knowledge and great humanity. The hotel's cuisine is great, Pauline's coctails are amazing. There is live music several times a week, the atmosphere is fantastic. Localization is excellent. We enjoyed the pool and the green oasis surrounding the building. This was the best hotel we have ever been.

ThailandPool open - for a cost - to the public (children) which impeded relaxation. Floors, especially the bathroom, needed a real clean rather than a daily cursory mop. The built up scunge made my feet dirty and the area around the sliding doors' were filthy.
Staff were very polite and professional. AC great; prices in the mini bar seemed reasonable. Good towels and free toiletries. Prices for food at the restaurant were within range for equivalent hotels.

GermanyThere were no negative aspects at all. The staff, especially at the front desk were very helpful and friendly, but so too was the Villa’s Tuk Tuk driver who took me around. The room cleaning staff were also excellent.
I liked the general ambiance of the property- it’s courtyard setting and the area where you relaxed and dined in. The Villa complex had a nice flow. It’s location to the Royal Palace- Mekong area was close, so you could go for a pleasant walk.
