Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSlightly further from town than we realised (15-20 walk) but not a huge issue!
Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. We had breakfast and dinner there and the food was delicious and good value!

Khmer Hands was a highlight of our trip to Cambodia. The staff were amazing, so helpful and welcoming, and it was great to hear about the education centre and all the work they do there. The house was so much fun to stay in, you feel like you’re really in the nature! There’s also a great restaurant right on site where you can watch the sunset. If you have the opportunity to stay here please do!

PolandI wish there was a swimming pool to cool off :)
Everything is great about Kris and Naome's place. The location is great, close to the national park, walkable distance to the Crab Market. Each bungalow is traditionally built to high standard, with natural ventilation and mosquito net to make the sleep comfortable. The hosts run a training centre for the local youth and there is a craft shop on site, so that makes it even more worth visiting. And the local foods in the onsite restaurant are simply delicious.

Such a special place with a special story. Owned by an American who has lived in Cambodia for 15 years. He has developed Kymer Hands as an inclusive venture for the local community, building a school along with a hand craft shop and cafe in the town. The accommodation is a series of rustic bungalows in a lovely setting about a 15 minute walk out of town. They are basic but comfortable with good toiletries, coffee/tea making facilities a comfortable bed plus a fan and mosquito net. I loved my time there.. it was tranquil and surrounded by nature. I was made to feel so welcome as soon as I arrived by the lovely Nary. She was amazing…. so helpful with everything including arranging a Tuk Tuk driver to take me to Kampot at the end of my stay with a stop off to visit La Plantation Pepper Farm. The food at the restaurant was delicious. I only had a short stay but I felt like part of the family … even the gorgeous family kitty was friendly and took a liking to my lap!

IrelandThese aren’t complaints, just items to consider if you’re in a standard bungalow: Fan doesn’t work straight away but give it time and it will kick in! Mosquito nets have holes and do let small insects in but thankfully not mosquitoes. The standard bungalow has a roof but is not sealed and is exposed to the outside so make sure to have repellant and be prepared to see ghekos, frogs, cockroaches etc. I don’t think all bungalows are like this but you’ll obviously pay more.
Able to check in early Nice staff and really helpful with information on trips and taking food orders Lovely and quiet. I don’t think there was many there when I stayed but I’d say even if it’s full it’s still peaceful. Food is lovely and made to order. I had breakfasts, lunch and dinner and they were all superb. Restaurant/bar is a nice place to chill For me it was within walking distance to the crab market and National park but I would recommend getting back before dark if you’re walking. It’s not an unsafe area but there are a few dogs. The hammocks and rest places outside are really good.

ChinaEverybody was very kind and friendly, the restaurant and terrace where we had breakfast offer a splendid view of the sea, and the design of the bungalows and the whole resort is beautiful, especially the endeavour to incorporate traditional Khmer architecture and handicraft.

Beautiful place. Stunning surroundings with lovely staff. The accomodation was everything you could wish for, the food being a particular highlight, really tasty! We loved the natural peaceful surroundings and easy access to town and attractions. The manager was great, we could have talked to him forever about the local area and Khmer culture. If you get chance too it's definitely worth visiting their Khmer Hands cafe in town too, again great food and lovely craftshop! We could defy have stayed longer!

Friendly, helpful staff, Location in the forest, includi g the occasional monkey( No Open food!) WiFi okay, menu very good/they are with the Artist Café in Crab Market , so good Mix of asian and Western, bit pricier than the local Khmer eateries , Not the fancy french expat places...

PolandExceptional host – Kris and exceptional place. There is a group of traditional small houses – bungalows, we had this one on stilts, amazing experience. Very silent place close to the National Park in the mountain. Bicycles/bikes for rent available on site. Food – exceptional like almost everything there, traditional Khmer cuisine. Not so far to Kep city and beach, but not in walking distance. Kris-all the best and very big thank you, we had amazing time in your hotel.
