Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is a small lagoon between Bun Nan and the white sand beach which looks brown and dirty - it isn’t as the water is refreshed each day with the tides, but aestheticly it’s not very appealing. You can’t really see it when you’re in the restaurant so the only time it’s an issue is when you want to get to the sea. It’s a very small thing and probably wouldn’t bother most people.
Our pink floral mosquito net and orange bedding, our bungalow was good value for money and meticulously clean. Bun Nan is run by a lovely family, their food is delicious and very reasonably priced for the island. Bun Nan is not party central but a lovely place to come if you want a few quiet days. The bungalows run up the hill behind the communal area so they are not beach frontage but the communal area is an excellent place to while away the day. It’s not chi-chi or boutique but it is an excellent, family run place that is very well maintained - they obviously take pride in what they offer.

AustraliaI’m pretty sure my partner got food poisoning from a coconut. They probably shopped it with a dirty knife on a dirty chopping board. There was no air conditioning.
The owner lady was very nice.

Absolutely brilliant location just next to the beach. The owner was friendly and the food was nice and good value. Coconut beach was the nicest beach on the island. I ended up staying for 10 days as I kept extending my stay. Cannot recommend enough

IrelandThe tents, huts, etc are not beach front. They are actually up a small hill. Some tents didn’t have a path to the showers either. But for $6 a night we really didn’t complain!
It is nestled away on coconut island which is a little more difficult to get to than other parts but is so worth it! The beach is amazing and so so quiet, we basically had it to ourselves a lot of the time! I would definitely come back and stay here.

ChileThe cleaness of the toilet could be better but wasn't terrible although. The location is far so be aware you will need a scooter for moving around the island and the roads are terrible, there is a main road crossing the island that is the only one in good condition, so recomend only ride scooter if you have experience, the entrance road to the accomodation is quiet difficult too.
The place is far from the town and if you are looking for stay in a quiet and chill accomodation with a beach just fron of you, this is the correct choice. We spent here a week and was a very relaxing days enjoying the beach and the calm of this area of the island. Stayed in a tent and was actually very comfortable, the mattress was comfy and you have plenty of space inside. The place has a restaurant with fair prices for the location and wide range of food, we ate here almost every day, there is laundry also. In the same accomodation you can rent a scooter, unfortantly we had an accident going to Lonely beach but all the staff helped us and just charged a little amount of money for the damage in the scooter. The family who run the place are very kind and nice trying to do your stay as comfy as possible. The have a Taxi service to go to the closest pier in Long set beach for 5 usd per person.

FranceWe stayed 6 days in a tent at Bunnan Bungalows (we extended our stay as we liked it so much). The place is a little paradise, far away from everything. Tents are comfy. Restaurant is good and with reasonable prices. There are motorbikes for rent. Credit cards are accepted which is rare for the island. Take plenty of mosquito repellent as there are many at both night and day; and don’t forget to bring enough cash as you necessarily need taxi/tuktuk to get somewhere else, and the prices are outrageous on the island.

United KingdomIt was very remote, and difficult to get to. Taxi’s have to go halfway around the island as the connecting road is poor, so expect to pay $10-15 from the town. Also, you can’t really reach anywhere else by walking apart from the next door hostel. This made food options limited, and the onsite restaurant was so so, but expensive for what it was.
The tent we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, easily enough room for two people with big backpacks. The beach was beautiful too.

FranceThe bungalows are made of wood and they are not completely airtight so that some mosquitos find their way in. But there are two fans in the room and a mosquito-net above the bed.
Family run Bungalows and Restaurant. NIce location at the beach with only three different Hotels. There is another place at the otehr end of the beach with a good restaurant and campfire and some music, more of a social holiday camp site. Nice Maledives like beach, clean in front of our location. It has Wifi and we got new small bottles of water for the room every day and a free Refill of water at the reception. We had a front porch on our bungalow with two rattan chairs and a table with a beach view.

Bunan Bungalows are heaven. You can really enjoy a fantastic quiet time in great value, spotless clean bungalows and eat all day in the yummy restaurant. Prices are very fair and all the family is happy to help with everything. We previously had a very disappointing stay in Koh Touch and are so happy to have come here and experience Koh Rong at its best.
