Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I can say that my expectations were exceeded in every aspect. The staff are some of the kindest people I have ever met and most of them have been working from the time the Camp was established and I believe that says a lot about the workplace. The tents are amazing. They pay so much attention to detail. Got woken up with hot tea everyday for early safari drivers and meals were packed accordingly. There was extra attention to my meal preference although it is from a set menu. Lunches by the lake were special. The best of all were my game drives with the guide - Daniel. I got to see all the animals on the first day itself and it was surreal, he was patient and flexible. Had a best massages at the spa. One of the afternoons were spent relaxing by the pool. A huge shout out to Daniel, Robert, Elphas, Sharon and Rose(masseuse). It was truly a different world and the best kind! As a solo traveller, I felt so safe and well taken care of and this is one of the best stays I have every had. I travel quite and bit and felt the customer service here was outstanding.

United KingdomWe had a wonderful stay at Neptune Rianta. The accommodation was perfect, beautiful tented accommodation overlooking the river, woken by hippos every morning. The staff were outstanding, friendly and efficient, in particular, Daisy our wonderful waitress, Daniel our friendly butler and Daniel our masai safari guide who was incredibly knowledgeable and exceeded our expectations in every way. Daniel ensured we found every animal, providing us with detailed information and was so much fun to be with!

AustriaThe distance to the main park was too far. But from the Camp you can see a lot of wildlife coming to the river shore.
We loved the outstanding service and beautiful setting of the property. Very skillful staff and relaxing surrounding. We had a most wonderful stay, thank you, especially to Daniel and Gibson.

United StatesI couldn't put out of my mind the environmental impact of some aspects of the accommodation. Perhaps that is part of going to a fragile natural area (and perhaps hypocritical of me). Yet, I think there are some simple changes the camp could do - such as get rid of single use plastics, use only biodegradable cleaning products and better protect the surrounding river basin - to improve. There is a plan to expand over the river, where the hippos live, which will certainly affect that habitat.
It was a very good stay and excellent service. The check-in, bar, wait staff and butler were all top notch. Food was good. It was wonderful to be there in the low season.

United KingdomNothing!
Neptune Mara Rianta is a stunning tented camp right on the river. We visited for our honeymoon and had the most incredible experience. The staff go out of their way to make the experience special, with incredible game drives available every day. Your room is looked after by a friendly butler with a wake-up/morning coffee service and a turn-down with hot water bottles ready in your bed. True luxury in the wilderness! Great choice of food every day and always fun to eat lunch at outdoor tables next to the resident hippos. One evening at dinner we were called down to see a large male lion feasting by the river! A truly unforgettable experience.

Saudi ArabiaWhat i did not like about this hotel that you will not feel like that you are staying in a luxury hotel as it missed very important details to make it luxurious stay. To name the few: - Poor quality of food "not tasty, pastries not fresh" - Although "all inclusive rate" is for 3 meals but still you need to wait to have a cup of coffee till 6pm as the coffee machine not working until that time!! This is very disappointing as inclusive rate means I'll have whatever i want at the time I wanted "not restricted by the hotel". - Nearby 5 stars hotel all inclusive rate includes 2 game drive per day but here no you need to pay for both game drive fees plus park fees total of 155$ per each person. - No slippers provided in the room "again you need to ask for it" - No Kittle provided in the room. - You need to pay for warm jackets 59$ each "other hotels provided their guests for free" - No Gym - Spa facility only one person working there so if you want any spa services you need to wait in the queue. - Not permitted to do game drive in mara north Conservancy "reason not tell to us but I have known by other follow guest comments" In simple word, did I recommend this hotel to other travelers? My answer is that, (No) unless they work out on all points above.
I stayed at Neptune Mara Rianta for 3 nights. What i like the most is the Kindness of their staff was just phenomenal to name the few: Sharon, Linda, Fred, David & Alfred you were the best Thank you for making our trip unforgettable & made us feel like home we couldn't thank you enough. In regards of the hotel itself; well decorated you feel immediately Safari mood, Beautiful tent overlooking mara river, excellent location inside the Mara north conservancy.

RussiaAmazing location! Very large, beautiful and clean rooms. You can watch hippos, lions, giraffes, deers right from the hotel - it's just an incredible place! The best you can find in this price range. And there are no additional huge environmental taxes, as in many hotels. We are delighted with the stay!

KenyaI recommend you improve the quality of your bed mattress, as mine was quite hard. therefore, made my sleep rather uncomfortable. Include other structured activities/game drives around the nature reserve/conservancy or partner with other lodges to encourage longer stay at the Mara beyond the minimum 2-3 days!
The breakfast was good. The wakeup tea/coffee with snack was unexpected and we were quite delighted about the surprise. The meals were also very good and tasteful. The safari experience was fantastic, we managed to picture/see 4 of the big five animals coupled with exceptional story-telling skills of Jackson our tour guide! The lunch location by the China hill along the Mara River was excellent.

now this is absolutely fantastic , your luxury tent faces the river filled with hippos ( perfectly safe ) , the staff including Rose , Paul , Jane , Pauline were amazing. The food is just incredible. They use a driving tour company with drivers Fred and Robert who are just the absolute best truly outstanding gentleman keeping you safe ($250 per day which is very reasonable) this place is utterly perfect with ideal location right in the heart of masaai mara

CanadaOne thing was its a bit far. Overall its a good 30min drive to the masai mara national park and when spending a whole day in the car in the safari, it starts to feel a bit long. Especially if you will also be doing some activities there...
What a beautiful experience it truly was. The staff are incredible and the hotel itself is wonderful. GLAMPING at its finest. We loved the room, and every small detail.

United Arab EmiratesNO wifi in the room , Water pressure is pathetic, it takes a lot of time to take a shower , water quality is bad , very hard water .It's an all inclusive hotel but you will end up starving , better to carry some snacks , Food availability and portion sizes are sad . i almost cried seeing chef's face when my wife asked chicken roll from the snacks menu also no basic 5 star amenities in the room even though its supposed to be a 5 star camp , no kettle etc . Toilet area looks like a public toilet . we went in November , it takes almost 30 min to get warm dripping water from tap
location is good , staff in general is very accommodating but they have limited options

United KingdomThe adventure trek is a rip-off. They sold it to us as an amazing thing that you have to absolutely do when you are there and it said on the program it lasted 3 hours. I asked the receptionist what we would see during the trek and they told us we would see lots of animals. We paid $700 for a walk of not even 2 hours and we saw absolutely nothing apart from 2 elephants from very far away. The view was also quite standard and nothing too special.
The location is stunning and you can dine looking at the hippos. The attention to detail is also amazing. They warm up the bed before bedtime, provide a free laundry service for 3 items per person, they are always very attentive.
