Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Amazing experience to camp in the desert. This camp was further away from the others and in my opinion a much better location. The food was incredible and the hospitality amazing. We did full jeep tour for 55 JOD per person.

JordanI had to wait an hour for pickup even when I had informed them about my arrival 2 hours in advance
Excellent. Honestly, while booking it sounds like a scam but when I reached there, the hospitality and the friendliness of the staff was excellent. They charged me exactly what was agreed to and more importantntly, they treat you like family and make sure all your requests are catered to. The tent was basic but clean and the washrooms and showers were fine with all the basic necessities. The ride to and from the camp was amazing and the food was pretty good too. The hosts and staff made you feel very welcome and ensured a cordial and friendly evening which ended with dinner and a campfire with tea and snacks. I was a bit apprensive because of the lack of a phone connection or wifi in the camp but it turned out to be one of the best nights ever.

BelgiumBest experience in Jordan and can only thank the amazing team of Wadi Rum Fire Camp! Basically a bunch of local Bedouins taking you around the place they call their homes as we were watching sunsets & starry skies, drinking bonfire boiled teas while listening to the stories of their ancestors and the daily life in Wadi Rum, hiking up sand dunes and cooling down in their “autoventilated” tents (with more tea for free ;) & eating traditional homemade food and even getting a local dance session. Little heads up that you’ll be staying in the desert, back to the basics (but with solar panels and proper toilets). Thank you again Youssef, Salem, Bashar, Ahmed and Fernando!

SwitzerlandOnly after booking the stay I was informed that I‘d have to additionally pay the jeep ride to the camp and back (15JD) if I didn‘t book one of the offered tours. I‘d have appreciated to get that information beforehand.
I know it‘s a cliché, but I really didn‘t feel as a tourist but as a guest in the Fire Camp. The people were very friendly and welcoming. The camp‘s location is nice and far enough from the village to feel like you‘re the only ones in the desert. The food was very good, the beds comfortable and everything was very clean. I recommend the Fire Camp 100%.

United StatesIt is hard to find critiques, but maybe one of the doors on a shower didn't shut all the way. Maybe they could add locks on the inside of the shower.
Amazing camp with friendly staff. Super caring, and they ask about your program while you're there. You don't have to search for excursions because they offer full-day tours and half-day tours, as well as camel rides. The prices are very fair too! My friends needed to message someone to avoid a bad situation, and the staff were more than willing to take him to a place with connection. Great people!

United KingdomAn email with essential information was only sent on the day we were arriving which would have been useful to have beforehand as the terms and conditions explained increased our total amount to be paid, and we might have changed our minds had we known.
Very welcoming staff, accommodating to our plans and providing an overall excellent experience.

PolandGreat value for money. However please bear in mind that it’s no place for someone used to 5star hotels. There is no network coverage (thus also no WiFi). When there is no sun there is no electricity and no hot water (solar panels not working). There is a lot of peace however, lot of space to wander and a lot of time to chill and rest with no distractions :) Food is great, breakfast is enough, dinner is also great, tea is perfect, everyone is very nice. It is pretty mandatory to book a day trip (case for every camp in the desert). But at 50 jod per person the full day trip is a great value. Astonishing views, lunch, fire, tea, jeeps, sandboaring etc etc. To sum it up - book two days and a daily safari trip at the fire camp and you will not regret! Totally recommended.

United KingdomBring your own towel (they were "being dry cleaned in the village" for the two nights I stayed). The shared toilet/shower block is more than adequate (with warm showers) but don't expect luxury.
Incredible hospitality - Ibraheem, Omar and the crew know what they are doing and offer a wonderful stay in Wadi Rum. Endless fires, tea and chats. Excellent food and good value activities. Beds are comfortable and they offer plenty of extra blankets for the cold desert nights. Their new(ish) built lounge area is very comfortable and is cosy at night (complete with fire pit and disco lights) and cool in the day. Highly recommended!

United StatesNo heater was provided in January with temperatures dropping below freezing at night. Although I expect this is only an issue a few weeks out of the year!!
The dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the cost-value proposition of the activities was good (40 JOD/person for a half-day jeep tour).

SpainThe bed was absolutely horrible. The sheets also seemed like something they wouldn’t change between guest and guest. The pillows had no cover. The doors have no key. The room was huge but there was only the bed inside, something to leave your stuff (even if only a chair) would have been nice.
Staff is great and makes the experience memorable. Dinner and breakfast are also really yummy, which you wouldn’t expect considered the price. The day tour is also fun! M Not sure how the experience is when the place is packed, but we visited during the Israeli war on Gaza, and it was less than 10 people in the whole camp per night, which made it all really familiar. Would also recommend 2 nights to make the most out of it!

FranceWonderful experience in this camp in the middle of the desert. The room was simple and pleasant, the bed was confortable. In december, during the cold night, I needed 3 blankets to feel warm (just ask the for it). Think to bring your padlocker to lock your room. The common lounge was very nice, we had dinner and breakfast there, drank tea and just relaxed and chatted with everyone. I booked a jeep tour and camel ride. The jeep tour was very nice, we went to different historical places and landscapes. The Jordanian hospitality is wonderful, at each stop we were offered tea and met people from other camps. I have a lot of good memories. Youssouf was a very good guide and everyone was very nice. The camel ride was so peaceful that it gave you another point of you. If you do not book any activity, you must pay the pick-up fee (request information). Good atmosphere and total change of scenery. There is no network, that allows us to enjoy the present moment and exchange with others, to enjoy the beauty of the landscapes and the sky at night by a campfire, which is incredible. Thanks to Brahim, Youssouf and Hassan... It was one of my favorite times in Jordan, highly recommended.
