Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe first room was an upgrade, but the stairs were too much and narrow. Not good for vertigo. The original room that was being offered had no view ( which was offered in my booking), and the bathroom needed repair. The final room placement was ok until expected wifi, not there, and the AC broke down, leaving me roasting for 2 night/7 ( they did fix it for the last night). Overall the last room was clean and service was good from staff.

United KingdomThe apartment was damaged, dirty had cockroaches on the bed. The countertop was broken and falling off the wall . The lamp was damaged the AC unit was dripping water the couch was filthy and the shower was not cleaned properly. The towels had hair on them. Overall poor apartment.

United StatesMy apartment was changed without notice. Renovations were being made to the property which I was not aware of. The bathroom was grimy, not cleaned and everything looked like it has not been updated in several years, one of the locks were broken on the door.
I always love this area of the island very easy to experience night life with so many amazing bars and restaurants around.

United StatesI've never had to leave a bad review like this ever in life. I was here for a short stay on business. The room was horrible! It seems like there hasn't been anyone who stayed in this room for a while so it wasn't maintained. Upon arrival, the smell of the room was horrible. It seemed as if something was left in the refrigerator that went bad and to air it out they left the doors of it open. It left a horrible smell in the room. Next the room was filled with red ants and spiders. Im not speaking of 10-20 ants i'm talking of me killing 50+ daily. As soon as you kill one batch another batch appears. They were on the bathroom doors, all over the room walls, and on the windows. There wasn't any hot water. I ended up not even staying in the room. I only went to collect my things daily and to use the pool on the property. The room is not something you should be charging for, especially not $100 a night. Its unacceptable, do better.

United StatesTried to checkin at 10pm booking was not listed. Had to purchase another room The quest was told there was no booking for them. I called the number listed and spoke to someone who was completely unprofessional and illiterate. I was told the quest was there but payment was required then the person hung up on me. The quest in fact never paid or stayed in the room I booked. Again, they were told no booking existed for them. I do not know who actually stayed in the room, but I suspect the room was re-booked due to the late arrival of the quest. I will never ever consider staying at your location again. I will also be leaving a negative review and contacting bookings.com regarding my experience.
