Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great for vicinity to the airport. Very well connected to the city centre, via tram. Trams are cheap and frequent, which is quite a bonus. The lady at the Reception was extremely helpful in explaining how to get public transport and very pleasant to talk to.

AustraliaThe toilet has very little privacy, but again, relative to the price we paid & no surprises as we had seen photos. The restaurant is ok & at least they have one! The bar has VERY basic seating, one L shaped lounge in the corner. The one thing that must be fixed is the sewage smell in the lift and in the -1 level entrance to the restaurant, it is discussing!!!! If you did not go to the restaurant, it would be a faint smell in the lift. You would not realise how bad it was on the bottom floor. Tea or coffee facilities would have been great.
We have give our score of 8, as this is a great hotel for the money! You can only rate a hotel on the expectations & relative to the money & requirements you have. We needed a hotel close to the airport, at a reasonable price for 1 night. This hotel had helpful staff, basic, but very clean rooms, very comfortable bed & pillows, TV with Netflix.

United StatesHotel is far from the center of the city. 1st room assigned was very outdated and AC didn’t work. Additionally, the whole floor where the room was located smelled like cigarette, even-though, it was supposed to be smoke free. Had to insist to the reception staff be changed. Lost more than a couple of hours in the process. At the end I was assigned a better room. 2nd room was updated and with AC and the floor didn’t smell like cigarette.
Most of the staff is very nice and helpful. Hotel is ok if you get an updated room.
