You need to buy a cap to go to the pool. A bit expensive for the price.

The pool is amazing. The studio we got was nice even though a bit outdated. The staff can pick you up from the port.

Nobody spoke much English, which was OK as it meant I had to practise my Italian but I did witness some amusing conversations between guest speaking English and the staff speaking Italian ...

I was met from the boat by Giacomo who drives the shuttle bus and taken back to Vulcano Blu Residence. Everything was incredible. The room was spacious with a balcony and sea-view and a small kitchen and large fridge. I have never seen such a clean swimming pool and my only regret was that it was too hot for me to swim in it during the day - but I swam every evening. There's a reception area with Wifi where you can get coffee in the morning and cold drinks in the evening, and I made good use of this. I was glad there wasn't Wifi in the room, though this might not suit everyone. I enjoyed going to the reception area to do my emails and other work. The shuttle bus down to the village ran at certain times of the day and although it's not a long walk - it was a great luxury and was very convenient when returning from a swim. Giacomo was always prompt and professional. The girl who cleaned my room came while I was having a shower so we arranged for her to come back later. The place was calm and peaceful and it was an utter delight to stay there. I hope to return.

There was no Wifi and 4G connection in our room, so no internet unless you go to the reception (circa 150m away from our villa). Not a problem if you want a quiet getaway and digital detox, but something to be mindful of as we didn't pay attention to this when choosing the hotel and assumed it will be available by default. There is a fridge in the room, but no curtesy bottled water was offered, so we had to go back to the town center which was circa 3km away from the hotel to buy some - again, not ideal, but something you can prepare for in advance unlike us. Make sure you bring a cap if you want to use the pool, or you will need to buy one at the reception.

The hotel is a set of individual villas located in a secluded corner of the island. It is very quiet and serene. There is a pool with sea view with hydromassage at the reception (but be mindful you need a cap to swim in there, because somehow they don't allow doing so without it). There is also a private beach with a view on the volcano. The shuttle runs to and from the town center every other hour, and the hotel also arranged a shuttle to pick us up from the ferry port, and to bring our bags to the city center upon departure. Overall, a good value for money with a few tweaks that could be improved. The hotel offers a simple Italian breakfast (brioche & coffee) for an extra fee.

Really nice residence to spend time with family and friends in Vulcano! The rooms were nice and the whole area of houses there is also great. The staff is helpful and kind. We rented bikes since it was about 20 minutes far from the town. Overall a good experience!

Vulcano Blu is a fantastic residence, I highly recommend it. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern and situated in nice quiet gardens. The staff are all kind and very helpful and speak English as well. The infinity pool area and little beach down below is lovely.. you can watch the aliscafi (hydrofoils) coming and going from the small port. Also the cafe at the pool is great for breakfast and you can eat lunch there too - so no need to go to the town centre if you don't feel like it ! Overall a lovely stay, thank you!

Everything was great! The pool was amazing. The rooms were clean and spacious. The views were spectacular. The snack bar and eating areas were nice. They had the best “granite panna”. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A kettle would've been better than boiling water on the stove. A load of people (group of about 10) not staying there showed up at the private beach and were very noisy so they need to police it better as any other beach on the island would have been quieter! Food not really available without pre arranging it and with unpredictable weather we never really knew when we might want to eat there. Again because it was quiet, I imagine it's available all the time at other times.

Great pool area with lovely views of the sea and volcano. It was mid May and very quiet when we were there and they gave us a room with a sea view which was most welcome as it rained a lot. We couldn't get any sun on the balcony though as it was more of an open kitchen with I have to say an amazing view but we would've preferred to be able to sit in the sun (as the weather wasn't very hot).

There were dangerous jellyfish in the sea There was garbage on the hotel beach The toilets were far from the pool and buffet The pool buffet only offered drinks, chips, nuts, etc. There was nowhere to eat in the hotel It is quite far to the town with restaurants and groceries, if you have to go to eat or shop several times a day. approx. 1.5 km. !!! Attention, the hotel staff recommended us a restaurant with fish. It was the worst meal we have ever eaten. In our opinion, the fish was taken out of the freezer, undercooked (rather raw) and underseasoned. We returned the whole meal. We are looking for restaurants with a local atmosphere, that restaurant was starched and we felt like we were in a restaurant at the station. The manager of the hotel knew this and sent us there anyway. Of course he paid for it, we understand that business is business. In the town, you can find restaurants with pleasant seating in the garden and good and much cheaper food.

We didn't come all the way to Vulcano to spend the whole time in the apartment so whilst there could be improvements, we were perfectly happy.

The pool area really is just as great as the photos! Incredibly comfortable bed and it's quiet so we slept very well. Amazingly helpful and friendly staff, always ready to assist with any issues and make very good suggestions for dinner and excursions. We particularly appreciated their flexibility on cleaning to meet our requirements as we had our dog and kitten with us. Thank you very much!

The quietness of the place was surreal. We got a studio with a nice terrace with sea view, which was awesome. The pool of the resort is also beautiful. The staff was very helpful. For us it is a clean 10. You can rent bikes from the location.
