Bringing the facilities more up to date (furnitures, air condition, some paintwork, etc.) could make the establishment even more attractive for guests.

Villa Dei Misteri is a hotel with good fundamentals (the vicinity of Pompei ruins, the Circumvesuviana rails, it has a nice outdoor pool, there belong balcony to the rooms, they offer free parking), and the staff is friendly and helpful.

It would have been nice to have a small table on the balcony to sit at and read on an evening. A safe inside the room to store valuables would have been a great help. This is a nitpick however.

Breakfast was very good. Great, friendly service. Pool facilities were great to relax in. Wi-fi was generally good around the hotel and pool.

There was only a fan in the room to cool it down. The temperatures were around 25+ at night so it got quite uncomfortable. If you don't go midsummer you should be fine though. There was a limited selection of food at the hotel, both for breakfast and lunch/snacks....but what they had was good value.

The pool is brilliant and open all day into the evening, which was needed given the high temperatures. The staff were all friendly and fantastic, the room was cleaned daily. The location is unbeatable. There was only one socket that took a standard EU plug. The rest were the 3-pin Italian ones. So make sure you have the right adapters.

Needs a bit of updating. When I informed about a broken shutter I was told I’d probably broken it. 😬

Clean, nice pool, air con in my room.

No fridge in the room. No tea coffeee facilities. No pool towels given. If you arrive early and your room is not ready you will not be allowed to use the pool while you wait for your room. In that heat, !!! The reception area has no air conditioner and the snacks provided are not home made (e.g. hamburgers are the ones you buy in supermarket) and come plain no chips nothing with it. Strange for Italy which generally is a culinary experience. Plenty of restaurants close to the ruins (at tourist prices). Apart from the boy and the girl at reception we felt a bit unwelcomed and we didn’t find this hotel friendly.

Pool area is fantastic and so is the location. The hotel is dated and as you can notice from the photos. Rooms are ok and air conditioner however noisy it worked well. Breakfast is superb. Steps from train station and ruins.

Not enough socket points in the room (European adapter only fitted one plug in the bathroom), no tea facilities in room. No food really on offer at the hotel and nothing nearby after 6:30 in the evening.

Lovely staff, clean great location with train access really close and tourist sites close by. The pool was a bonus.

The pool was deep with no shallow end so as a non swimmer I couldn't use it and it was not as nice as in the pictures the breakfast was OK but I wasn't even offered coffee the hotel is old and could use updating but for the cost it was adequate

The pool is isn't available after checkout at 10.30am and have to pay €15 extra. So for a 1 night stay when mostly there to do trips I felt was too much. I tried to make the most of the pool while I could. Otherwise only complaint is the bed was very hard and not that comfortable.

Location is perfect for the ruins and very relaxed. The staff went out of there way - especially mattea who was very helpful. Even checked me in early which was appreciated! The pool was also refreshing after a hot day touring the ruins.

No shower curtain in bath. No shower hose holder on wall. Shower rose head just laying in bath. Had to hold the shower rose in your hand to have a shower. Water went all over bathroom , when having a shower.

Great location to visit Pompeii. 5 minute walk from the train station which is next to the entrance to the ruins. Good pool. Quiet room. Nice breakfast, coffee, tea, croissants, cereal , bread , yoghurt, cakes & juice.

Plastic cups used for water or milk at breakfast. I guess could be easily been replaced by eco friendly glasses.

For what we planned to do, visiting Pompeji excavating site and Vesuv volcano this hotel has the best location. Just 2 Minutes walk to starting point for both. Restaruants and a pedestrian zone with a variety of restaurant are also close by. Staff was very helpful and friendly, eve. Though we do only speak a little Italian.

Nothing really, but the economy rooms get really hot. The sun hits the window in the morning and no fan is good enough too cool you down. I would choose AC rooms for better sleep.

The pool is amazing. The room was clean and the staff was nice. It is not a five star hotel and with this in mind it was really nice.
