Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were there early November, hardly any guests there, the swimming pool was stunning, but not heated, so we could not use the facilities
The hotel was within walking distance of the railway station and busstop, plus only a few hundred metres from the entrance of the Pompei ruins. The bus took us to the entrance of the Vesuvius, ideal for our destination, the walk to the top. (no toilets there, so go at the station/bus stop)

Location Staff. Pool Every member of staff made us more than welcome. Stones throw from the ruins and train station with easy access to coach for Vesuvius . Fab pool to relax by after a days sightseeing. Correct star rating. Would happily return. Had a fantastic 6 day stay. Thank you all.

United StatesMy first room had a big hole in the bathtub. I also never liked that the hose for the shower head is only a couple feet long so unless you sit in the tub it doesn't reach your head. I want to shower - I just about never sit in a hotel tub - especially one with a big hole in it. The area around the pool looked a bit sad/run down because the paint is peeling.
I'm a fan of this hotel and have stayed a number of times. Breakfast is nice, the rooms are spotlessly clean and quiet, the location is great - a quick walk from the train station and to the archaeological park. The pool and patio are great places to relax after a hot day sightseeing. The balcony on the rooms in the main building are nice to sit out on and they have clothes drying racks on them which is helpful to dry out your bathing suits, etc.

Czech RepublicWe would appreciate a fridge in the room.
The location was great, however city center of Pompeii was little bit far away but definitely worth to go for walk or a dinner there. Hotel was outdated but comfortable. Breakfast was ok but after a few days you eat same breakfast every day as no many options available. Pool was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

United StatesBreakfast was not the best, but was good enough.
Perfect location for getting off of the train and getting to the hotel with a short walk, and then a very short walk to the ruins. Could not be better located and no need for a car. Nice hotel, friendly and helpful receptionist. We'd stay here again and recommend it. Clean and comfortable. Great pool, though we didn't have a chance to use it. Not too long of a walk into the center of town, either.

Czech RepublicNothing to complain. Good value for money.
The look of the hotel is a bit dated, but most important it was really clean. It was right next door to the archeological park and the train station so we could visit Pompeii AND also take a trip to Sorrento. The breakfast was fine. Friendly staff. On the last day we could leave our backpacks at the hotel after checkout to visit Pompeii. Next time I'd stay here again.

BelgiumAll was good. Thank you!
The hotel is located in the direct vicinity of the Pompei archeological site. The breakfast included in the price was basic but enough to start the day. A nice swimming pool area and a good wifi connection were also available. We arrived 2 hours before the check-in time but our rooms were ready and we were able to check-in earlier. Thank you!

CanadaThe property was extremely outdated. Lobby armchairs we’re worn and dirty, which didn’t make for a welcoming experience upon arrival. The rooms bed mattresses were like sleeping overtop a hard laid out door. There was no shower curtain, glass walls or anything separating the bathtub (where there was a handheld shower) and the toilet. It was challenging to shower. The aforementioned outdatedness of the hotel was not the problem however; The problem was that when it came time to pay our bill, 2 of my credit cards were rejected. I knew full well that my cards are paid up and in excellent standing. When I called VISA to inquire what was hiccuping the payment, VISA advised that there were in fact no transaction attempts (regardless if it’s rejected, VISA can still see that on their end). When I informed the hotel receptionist, although her preference was for me to pay cash (shady) she reluctantly said “I have another merchant terminal” (which is even more shady)! Woa! When I implied I knew what she was trying to do, she tried diffusing the situation by stating that this happens with Canadian credit cards (-It is not a Canadian cc. It is an internationally accepted VISA!) Bazaar twist of events. In the end, she collected my payment however I did want to FLAG THIS. This hotel is located in Italy. Being of Italian decent, I have seen this kind of thing happen many times there. The reason why I am flagging it here is for people to BE AWARE prior to booking. I also don’t think that booking.com should continue to endorse such an establishment.
The location was ideal; Right across the street from the 3 major entrances of Pompeii

CanadaCompared to the rest of the hotel the room was pretty basic. Two twin beds pushed together for the king sized bed and a set of bunks we neither asked for nor used. The electricity was powered by your room key, which meant when out of the room by the pool we couldn't charge phones, tablets, watches etc and the AC couldn't stay on. As it was a HOT day, this meant the room heated up quickly. The shower is one of those kneel in the bath shower hose thingos.
The pool is amazing! The location is also very close to the ruins. Great value for money. Friendly staff.
