Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAmazing hosts - Anna was spectacular and catered to every request. It was a lovely, spacious and homely resort. It had all the facilities that a family would require. Super central to all the major Tuscan towns. Great pool, BBQ facilities and a lovely grassed, contained courtyard (especially with roaming children) to spend the evenings were stand outs.

NetherlandsAlthough the accommodation is on the pricier side, it offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay that we would love to return to. The wifi could use some improvement, as the connection varied in reliability depending on your location within the property.
We loved our apartment—spacious, beautifully furnished with lovely antique pieces, and equipped with everything you might need. The gardens are stunning, and the pool is large and inviting. Everything is very well maintained. Laundry facilities are available, and the property is dog-friendly. Anna is a warm and wonderful hostess who always checked in on us, ensuring we had everything we needed. She also provided excellent tips on where to eat and what to visit, making our stay even more enjoyable.

United KingdomA lovely venue, greatly recommended with plenty of interesting , rolling countryside for cycling, hiking, relaxing and wine tasting. The nearest train station was at Sinelunga, about 5 km away.
Anna , the owner and hostess, was fluent in English and French and shared her warmth and enthusiasm in her suggestions on her how to enjoy the gorgeous house , extensive and tasteful gardens and swimming pool to the full. She provided the names of several good and excellent restaurants in the small town. The Leopold Hotel , 50 metres from Villa Vignacce, has lovely food at an affordable price, with a spacious terrace and indoor restaurant ( Walter's ). My small flat had a good sized room with double bed and tasteful antique furniture and a lovely 2 metre model of an old sailing boat. The tasteful shower room and modern gallery kitchen, with lovely stainless steel fitting make it a highly tasteful and functional flat for 1 or 2 people. Outside the kitchen, is a set of table and chairs on a grassed area, for eating in lovely surroundings in summer. I cycled in the area and was very grateful to use the property 's washing machine and clothes drying rack. There was a background rumble of the motorway less than 1 mile away, which couldn't be heard from walled garden, next to the main red- brick traditional house. Lovely place to enjoy a relaxing drink in the day or evening, with groups of tables, chairs, sofas and parasols. . A lovely outdoor swimming pool about 15m-20m long, with plenty of lounge chairs in a relaxed environment and gardens.

United StatesEverything was great. Nothing to complain about
Everything was wonderful ! The grounds and room accommodations were perfect. Was greeted by the groundskeeper, Rodion, which was very friendly and helpful. Then later we met with the owner, Anna, which was also a great pleasure to speak to. We ended up extending our stay, wish we had more time to relax longer. I had just proposed to my newly fiancé one week prior down south in Capri. Non stop traveling so we extended a night and just spent a day indoors. Went to the local market and had a great relaxing day doing laundry, cooking, taking pictures of the grounds and planning the rest of our trip. The other days we travelled to nearby Montepulciano, Siena, many wineries, Thermal Baths at San Filippo and Cortona. Very central and great location for short drives. Extremely romantic!!!

Beautiful villa with lots of character. The apartment was immaculate and well appointed. The garden was lovely and a great place to relax with a glass of wine and a good book. Bettolle is perfectly situated in Tuscany for day trips to all the surrounding areas. Annalicia was gracious host and recommended great restaurants in town.

SwitzerlandNothing everything was great. Just remember to pack mosquito spray, Tuscany has a lot of mosquitos!
The property is stunning. We were attending a wedding nearby so all the apartments were occupied by our friends, however we still felt we had some privacy in the large garden apartment. The pool is lovely and surrounded by a beautiful garden and comfy deck chairs. We had facilities to cook, and the bed and bathroom were comfy and clean. Anna was friendly and hospitable.

United KingdomThe room decor was a bit tired and outdated - needed an upgrade eg. nicer furniture, rugs on the floor - the host said next time she would give us a better room.
The garden was amazing & our unit, which included a little kitchen, had its own terrace. The room was big with a comfortable bed and heating which we needed as it got chilly in the evening.

United StatesThe bed was more firm than we are used to, but that is to be expected when traveling.
We had an amazing week at Villa Vignacce! So beautiful and relaxing, and central enough for us to visit all of the places we wanted to in Tuscany. Unfortunately the weather kept us out of the pool, but that gave us a chance to relax inside. The small town of Bettolle had everything we needed as did our apartment by the gardens at the villa.. Thank you Anna - everything was wonderful!

Amazing place to relax and to enjoy with the family! Great attention to every detail - be it a flower in the garden, or small things prepared for breakfast. Truly enjoyed the experience! didn't have chance to use the swimming pool (as it was yet very fresh), but I'm sure kids would love it.

GermanyWe loved it, our children loved it, both the apartment and the garden. If there is a technical possibility to install air conditioning in the kitchen, then this would be a real improvement. Only the bedroom had it.
It is a charming Tuscan villa, very authentic and beautifully decorated and furnished, beds were very comfortable. Granaio is an apartment to be chosen without or with older children due to the (very accessible) stairs and the fact that one bed is in the entrance room downstairs, next to the desk. The kitchen is big, comfortably equipped. We travelled a lot and stayed in many places as a family - this apartment, the garden and pool amenities were one of the cleanest that we had ever experienced. The villa is perfectly maintained and the garden with pool are simply gorgeous. The host, Anna- Licia, is as described in all the other reviews, motivated to make everyone feel welcomed and the stay unforgettable and pleasant. We appreciated her advice very much. Our son got homemade cookies as a surprise for his birthday. It is a short drive to several Tuscan highlights. Clearly, you need a car to profit from Bettole’s geographic position.

The views of the Villa as well as it’s gardens are simply stunning. Everything is like a real Tuscan dream - the Villa, the surroundings, the peacefulness. Additionally, Anna is an amazing host who truly cares and also her staff is super caring! Thank you so much! Also, You can reach any city of Tuscany in less than an hour (by car).

GermanyThere was nothing to complain or dislike about Villa Vignacce.
Villa Vignacce is a truly wonderful place. Located in the heart of Tuscany, so that you can reach all the towns and villages to immerse yourself in "la dolce vita"! Villa Vignacce is a beautifully renovated property with cosy and well-designed appartments, but even more beautiful than the inside of the house are the well kept gardens, park and pool area. You find pine trees, olives, figs and many other trees and the entire garden is a real private oasis with plenty of cosy corners to enjoy your breakfast or read in the shade. But the nicest thing about Villa Vignacce is its hostess Anna! From our arrival to the moment we left Anna has made us feel welcome and at home in her beautiful estate, by being kind and friendly at all times. She was always there to answer questions, help us, and of course to give us tips what we could do -she even brought us some food and snacks to get us started for breakfast. If we could we would give some bonus points for Camillo the cat, who did not leave our side on most days and loved chilling with us by the pool. Dear Anna, thank you (and you small but mighty team) for everything. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back ♥️

CanadaVignacce is a great property with a lovely courtyard garden, large orchard and pool area plus a pine forest. The apartment was spacious and well appointed, clean and comfortable. Our stay was very well hosted by the owner Anna and our earlier than planned arrival was accomodated graciously. It is a short walk into tiny Bettolle, and a short drive to the beautiful hilltown of Cortona. There was a bit of traffic noise from the nearby highway but not enough to prevent a solid sleep in a historic restored room and home.
