Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOur bathroom was a little tight ( I imagine each room is different though) just something to be aware of if you are not very nimble. Bed was very firm, but found this everywhere we stayed. We knew the location situation in relation to Taormina before we booked so we were quite happy with it and knew transport would be necessary. We did try walking back one night from the old town as we were at that end and would be quicker than going to the bus station and then waiting/taking a bus, deciding we would follow Google maps and absolutely do not advise you do this, it’s not safe. Whilst part of it is a disused road and badly lit (needed to use phone torches) you have to walk along the main road at either end, without a path, and cars whip round the corners making visibility of pedestrians bad. Not worth the risk, use the buses!
Loved our stay. Beautiful building, lots of charm and spacious bedroom. 24 hour check in and given advice on arrival what to see/where to park. Best breakfast of our trip, great selection and delicious (especially the chocolate cake!) All the staff were so friendly and pleasant, even a lovely dog too, it felt very homely. Easy 10 min walk on a path to the bus stop (near the train station) which can take you to Taormina centre, or Isola Bella, it’s cheap and although the last bus to Taormina goes at 8.50pm there’s one back around 1amish. Alternatively it’s a 5 min drive up a steep hill to a multi storey car park. It’s expensive to park though! We had a very nice meal at a Pura Vida in Naxos and would highly recommend

United KingdomLoved everything about the hotel, you just have to be careful driving in and out the hotel entrance as it’s on a busy bend - it’s doable though.
Sweet traditional hotel, lovely welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast and lovely pool to relax.

United KingdomIt's quite tricky to find if arriving by car,we ended up in the nearby hospital car park and it took a while to sort although we came from Taormina and it's easier to spot coming from Giardini Naxos.Location is the only issue since although technically it's maybe 2km from Taormina centre that's not a 40 minute walk most would attempt uphill. So although the address is Taormina it's really a lot closer to Giardini Naxos which is about 10 minutes walk away.
Lovely building,very good view from our patio(room 22) of the sea.Easy parking.Room very clean.Staff helpful.Breakfast excellent choices.Peaceful.Pool a decent size,adequate sunbeds and parasols.

United KingdomOn a personal note maybe the hardness of the bed but that’s all. Outside of the hotel grounds so nothing to do with the hotel. When walking down the road you would have to walk into the road as all the brambles had grown over the footpath!
Beautiful traditional hotel with a superb team. Very well maintained inside and out. Extremely helpful and happy staff who couldn’t be more accommodating.

United KingdomLoved this hotel. Lovely family run hotel. The lady in the morning serving breakfast was exceptional. Always remembering what we liked and having it there for us in the morning. Always happy and singing. All the team were lovely and friendly. Couldn't do enough for you. The hotel was so relaxed. Days by the pool we're quiet with very few people there. Sometimes we were on our own. And very clean. Lovely area to sit out and have a lunch time drink with a great view of the sea. the railway station was only half a mile away which made it ideal for visiting other parts of the East side of the island. As was the bus stop. The restaurants were about the same distance in the other direction. You do have to walk along the road, with paths in places, but it was never really a problem. The restaurants are all along the sea front. You can walk to taormina but it is quite a walk. Or you can catch the bus which is only €1.50. we would definitely stay there again if we went to that side of the island.

SwitzerlandIt’s a bit expensive for what you get in the end. If you get a room on the road side (going up to Taormina) it can get busy and noisy sometimes.
Located just below Taormina and that’s the best thing about it - the nearby village is small, but you can find great restaurants and cafes there without any tourists. You can walk there (and to the seashore) by foot. The rooms were nice and clean, and the entire atmosphere of the villa was remarkable.

SwitzerlandEverything perfect and as expected.
This is an absolutely cosy small hotel, with a paradisic garden and a well maintained, clean pool, a wonderful view from the hotel over Taormina Beach and the mountains. In a few minutes by car, you are up the road in Taormina city, in few minutes down at the beach. Personnel is ultra friendly, once even prepared an extra table for our daughter and the daughter of other guests, which they enjoyed greatly. Breakfast was delicious and provided a good selection. Our room was modern and well taken care of. Our favourite beach nearby was the Isola Bella Beach, around 10 minutes away by car.

United KingdomThe rooms at the rear are quite noisy because of the nearby roads.
Sea view from terrace where we had breakfast & drinks. Lovely swimming pool. A 10 minute walk to the bus stop to Taormina (€3 return), & the seafront where there is a sandy beach, several restaurants and bars. Close to Taormina rail station (Naxos Giardini) €15 taxi.

New ZealandWe felt it would have been beneficial for the hotel to run a shuttle service up to Taormina itself as it was a good 20 euros each cab ride and the same on way back, the buses were unreliable so it was our only mode of transport . Some coloured pool towels would have been of assistance Maybe a food service at night would be helpful in case you didn't want to go out as there was very little in the direct area other than another 40 euro taxi trip return
the breakfast and room was great and the hotel had a very friendly atmosphere Pool was gorgeous and the pool temperature was perfect , the overall feeling was relaxed and not too touristy , the property had a nice open garden to enjoy and didn't feel too busy even though it was full.
