Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsGorgeous property and surroundings, delicious food, spacious room and extremely clean. The food was really delicious and it was magical to dine outdoors by the hills at sunset. We felt warmly welcomed by the host (thank you Filippo), like we are family. Grandpa still serving the guests at 84 with so much pride and passion. Super family friendly and we loved the social interactions with other guests. Highly recommend!

Czech RepublicAll is really fantastic!
Honestly? 10 is not enough for a stay at this place! Everything was so delicious! Accommodation in beautiful and comfortable apartments with a terrace, home-cooked meals freshly prepared every day from home-grown ingredients, with the help of the whole fantastic Fillipo´s family, which you eat at beautifully set tables on a meadow, watching the sunset and the beautiful Tuscan countryside... They have also a beautiful "shop" there, where you can buy homemade local delicacies. Cristina, grazie mille per tuo fantastico pesto :-), also for your homemade Orangello. We were very happy that we were at your place by car and could take a small piece of Tuscany home with us. We spent 3 nights here and felt like we were in paradise. The place is in the middle of Tuscany, which allows you to go out every day to explore the surrounding towns and the natural beauty of this region. Fillipo and his family are incredibly hospitable, kind and helpful. Everything was perfect and we will definitely come back again. Once again, Fillipo, big thanks to you and the whole family! Monika

PortugalFor a family of four, a second bathroom in the apartment would have been nice, but we already knew there would be only one bathroom when we did the booking... Beds in the second bedroom were a bit small for our teenage kids and made creaking noises when they moved during their sleep.
Filippo is a great host and did everything to make our stay unforgettable! Breakfast is great, with homemade pastries and fresh fruit. The option to order a homemade and tasteful dinner is also very convenient (and we loved the wine!). Villa Sant'Alberto is a great property, very well-maintained and with a truly charming Tuscan atmosphere. We highly recommend this place!

Our stay at the Villa was the absolute highlight of our Italy holiday. The reviews are correct, this place is outstanding. Filippo was a wonderful host- friendly, funny and helpful. The food was outstanding, every meal and course was a sensation and the best food we had in Italy. Great location, accessible to the Tuscan towns you will want to see, but far enough away to be on a farm and away from tourist traps. We had 4 nights here and were still sad to leave! We hadn't planned to return to Italy again, however now reconsidering just to stay here again.

United KingdomA longer stay !!
We chose this agritourismo because of the excellent reviews, particularly about the hospitality of the family running it. We weren’t disappointed! Filippo was very helpful answering our questions before we arrived and recommending places to visit . The whole family welcomed us on our arrival and were so hospitable during our stay. The accommodation was great – we had one of the 2 storey apartments which had a good size bedroom upstairs with a large ensuite and a walk in shower. Down stairs was a kitchenette area, table and chairs and easy chairs and a terrace with table and chairs which had the sun for most of the day. It was tastefully decorated in traditional type style and the bed was very comfortable. Filippo was on the go all the time from bringing us a wonderful breakfast on our terrace – freshly cooked omelette, fruit, yoghurt, bread and homemade jams and a selection of home made cakes to serving dinner. We had 5 home cooking dinners watching glorious sunsets, the lasagne was the best we’d tasted and the limoncello cream amazing. Filippo’s grandfather Alessandro was delightful telling us about the history of the farm house including pointing out the World War 2 bullet holes in the walls, keeping us up to date with the Rugby World Cup scores and waiting on the tables at dinner at 83! Thank you so much for 5 wonderful nights - we hope to come back sometime.

AustraliaIt has taken me more than a week to come down from the clouds after staying at Villa Sant'Alberto. I still don't feel like I have to words to adequately describe the experience we had over 5 amazing days. I booked this property based on the high ratings and glowing reviews of other guests and I can honestly say, it still exceeded anything I was expecting. To start, this truly special place has 3 generations of family living and running the agriturismo (farmstay). The moment we arrived, Filippo was there to greet us at our car. We were warmly welcomed and given a tour and explanation of the property, its colourful history, its inhabitants and what is produced on the land. Next we were shown to our apartment. It was so gorgeous and authentic, so lovingly decorated by the family, I almost cried when I saw it. It instantly felt like home and was absolutely pristine with many thoughtful inclusions to make our stay comfortable. My 11 year old daughter was amazed to see her towels rolled up on her bed wrapped in a pink ribbon. She even insisted on bringing the ribbon home as a memory of her stay. For a reasonable cost breakfast and dinner can be provided daily and I would highly recommend this to anyone staying. Breakfast is delivered to your verandah each morning and set out on the table to enjoy while admiring the view. Dinner is served every evening in an outdoor area with a gorgeous view of the sun setting and fairy lights after the sun goes down. The food - SENSATIONAL. All prepared by the family and the epitome of Italian home cooking. Each meal better than the last. Over the course 5 days we met the whole family and it was evident their passion was authentic. Filippo's grandfather is in his 80's and is such a lovely knowledgeable man. We'll be going back for sure. An unforgettable Tuscan experience. Thank You for looking after us. We loved every moment.

LithuaniaIt's not the fault of this villa per se but the location is a little remote in a sense that everything outside of Monteroni d'Arbia is 30+ minutes drive away due to crazily strict speed limits in Tuscany. A laundry service would be a nice addition for the comfort of guests.
We liked everything but it all really started from Filippo who probably was the most attentive host we have ever met. And then the rest: the 2 floor apartment, views, terrace, pool. Extra services (breakfast, dinner, gift shop) are not only of exceptional quality but also present a very good value and they are definitely worth checking out. Make sure to try breakfast and dinner at least once during your stay. It really was a 10/10 expereince.

RomaniaWe travel a lot and there are very few places like Villa Sant Alberto, I hope we get to go back someday. The location is very beautiful, quite, there is a lot of attention to detail everywhere. The home made food was very good, we had breakfast and dinner there every day. Filippo was great and helped us with everything we needed, from wine tour reservations to suggestions on what to do each day.

BRAVO to our truly exceptional hosts Filippo and his Family! It is a WOW experience to stay in your beautiful ex-Farm building with the quality renovation and open country views. Although, we sometimes want to have the convenience of a microwave :-)! The house has a beautiful cypress tress welcoming driveway, all bedrooms look out to Tuscany countryside. Location is quiet, a real retreat of hideaway and close to Val d'Orcia where we want to go. Filippo makes time to explain every details of how food was prepared. The family helped us to throw a surprise birthday party on arrival which is Perfect! We all miss your custom made Tiramisu, Oven fresh bread, Sunset dinning view! You represents Italy's hospitality, we feel so pampered in the 5 days stay. If everything went well, I would give it 10 out of 10. However we corrected the one thing quickly. We all miss the breakfast which makes each day a perfect start! Good food, picture perfect sunset dinning are out of our expectation!

United StatesIt's a wonderful farm, which is led by three generations of the family. The place is remarkable for its cleanliness, the kitchen towels were so crystal clean and perfectly ironed that we didn't dare to use them (I even made a photo of the towels, see the attach). The lunches and breakfasts are magnificent and prepared from local products. We had homemade bread and pastry, olive oil made right in the farm, homemade limoncello and orangello, homemade jams and homemade pasta with artichokes that were grown just a couple of feet away. The farm has wonderful views of the hills, nightingales sing under the windows all night long, and you feel that you are really in the heart of Tuscany. And most importantly, Filippo, our host and the grandson of the farm owners, showed us hospitality at the level of a five-star hotel, he was very attentive, polite and friendly, he did absolutely everything to make us feel at home, and, frankly, he deserves a separate review with 15 out of 10 rate! It's certainly the best one I've booked through booking.com, and I'm very thankful to Filippo and his family for the wonderful experience we had!

United StatesA wonderful, central home base for several days in southern Tuscany. It is easy to take daytrips from here to multiple different famous walled cities or to drive along Rick Steve’s recommended Tuscany driving routes. This is an old family estate/farm, run by 3 generations. The young-generation brothers are Tomaso, who prepared delicious food for breakfast and dinner (optional but we chose it each night and were glad we did), and Fillipo, who was our primary host. There are 4 beautiful, two-story apartments. Although they are new, they were made with the bricks of a demolished outbuilding and in the same style, so they blend in seamlessly with the adjacent family home. The décor is old farmhouse, with all the modern amenities (heated floors, nice bathroom, dishwasher). Each has a charming private patio overlooking a beautiful vista. There are likely countless beautiful agriturismos throughout Tuscany, but I think they’d be hard pressed to match the exceptional service and hospitality here. Food delivered to our patio, a personal cell phone number for 24/7 assistance, and at one point when we were lost in the countryside because our GPS gave out, Fillipo drove to us to escort us back. The grandfather (with Fillipo translating) is delightful, and has interesting stories about the history of the estate and the time when he was a child and his family had to live in nearby caves because the Germans took over their home. If we come back to this area we will stay there again.
