Overall, overpriced for service provided property needs to significantly up its game.

Air conditioning even at maximal setting did not work well enough. Could not open shutters on small windows, so room was dark. No shelve or holder in large shower to place soap or shampoo. No mirror in bedroom, only mirror was in bathroom which you had to climb several stairs to get to. The stairs to get to bathroom also a potential safety risk, especiaily to go to bathroom during the night, since there was no hand rail. Hands down the worst breakfast, both in quality and quantity, that we had in the 6 hotels we stayed at during our 1 week tour of Tuscany.

Biggest attraction is location which is in an excellent setting in country side of Cortona. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Location was stunning and the wine tasting evening with the home cooked meal was perfect! Rooms were big and spacious and i'm sure once it's up and running again it will be a lovely place to stay.

We had an unusual visit as we arrived on the day the previous owners left and the new owners started. Unfortunately that meant that some of the facilities weren't available, the swimming pool was empty, we couldn't do the vineyard tour and were unable to book any treatments. That being said the lady (i've sadly forgotten her name) who is the manager made our stay! She was so so attentive and considerate to the situation.

Just a couple of things. Many stairs up to the bedroom which made it difficult to carry cases up. It has changed hands recently and is being refurbished so beware of building work.

Absolutely stunning location. Liisa was very knowledgeable about the history of the property built in 1676 which we found fascinating. We loved the rooms and the views. Very friendly staff who made us very welcome. Just eight people staying which made it very quiet and personal.
