Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe restaurant is overpriced and not that great. The wine is good but not that great. Most of the staff (especially at reception) does the bare minimum and will not offer any help or information unless asked. We didn't get any information at checkin (it was late but still) and didn't know until our last day, there was a second restaurant down by the farm house with a great pool and area for kids.
This is a beautiful property with plenty of places and ground to explore and relax. Many activities for adults and kids to enjoy.

LatviaWe were a family of 11 and we had the villa too, which is a bit further away from the hotel. Upon arrival villa was stone cold inside. We were told we were the first guests of the season and it showed, dead flies in the rooms, dusty, a bit worn-down, and a dirty pool. And, when we asked for a late checkout, they said it was extra 150€ which is unheard of and very untypical for hotels to charge anything, especially such a sum, given the villa was dirty, there was no following bookings for villa that day etc… nooooot nice..
A very beautiful location and surroundings. Hotel itself is very authentic and beautiful. Real Tuscany vibes. The lady at the reception was very nice and polite.

It has beautiful view of Toscana and the location is perfect near to The Mall Firenze Outlet and to the city. We travelled with electric car so Village has a charger on parking site.

United KingdomThe aircon in the room was not working properly which made it a bit uncomfortable. The Dinner in the Vineyard was moved inside the factory which wasn't what I wanted. I know it was due to the weather but the music was very loud because we were indoors which made the experience a little less enjoyable and hard to speak to people.
Love the experiences and pools. My daughter enjoyed the farm visit to feed the animals. Wish I could have done the other experiences. Especially the cooking class.

United KingdomThe room had the most wonderful view and was very clean and kept clean every day of our stay - The staff are very helpful and seem to be happy in their work - The food in general was good, however they could do with making some changes, if you were going to say any longer than we did one might find the menu a little repetitive.

United StatesStaff wants guests to keep and reuse pool towels. Some activities could be improved in their intersctivity. Very slow to replace empty food trays at breakfast. Room fridge too small. No market or convenience store. No property map. Orientation and signage could be improved.
Beautiful. Good activities. Accommodating to food allergies. Amazing cappucinos in the morning.

AustraliaWe stayed at a two bedroom apartment a 5 minute walk from the main building. This was three stars at most. Dark, no housekeeping and very basic. The restaurant had amazing views but food here was very average and service not much better when it was busy.
Gorgeous views, super family friendly and the wine tasting (where kids got to bottle and make a wine label) was super special as was seeing the farm animals on site.

United StatesNo food/beverage or towel service available at the pool, and the restaurant menu did not live up to the hype. Not many options available and the food was just ok.
The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The staff went above and beyond- special thanks to Nataly and Vanessa, who were wonderful at reception and attentive throughout our entire stay.

GermanyService in the restaurant could have been better with a little more attention. They tried to charge my child for the wine tasting which was ridiculous as he is too small to drink which was definitely not appreciated.

United StatesBe aware there is no elevator in the building but was perfectly fine. We didn’t have a car because of the short stay but there is a bus that can take you into town that runs frequently (Just make sure the schedule at the front desk is in date. If the schedule says it’s to the 1st of September then it changes in the first of September, does not include the end date).
Amazing view! A picturesque view from our room. Good at the restaurant was amazing. Staff was friendly and kind.

SwedenA Disappointing Stay at Palagina la Dimora - I recently stayed at Palagina la Dimora, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. It all began with a request to the hotel to arrange a taxi to pick us up from the station. Upon arrival, we waited for 30 minutes, but the taxi never showed up. When we finally arrived at the hotel, we were disappointed to find that our room was old and not well-maintained. The bathroom was particularly concerning, as I discovered what appeared to be black mold, which I documented. This was unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed standard. The restaurant service was another major letdown. The staff were inattentive and provided poor service on both evenings. I had to repeatedly ask to place an order, which made dining there an unpleasant experience. To make matters worse, on the day of checkout, I wanted to purchase a simple cappuccino and a small croissant to go, for which they charged an outrageous 8 euros. This price was more than half the cost of a full breakfast, which I could have had instead. Additionally, when I asked a simple question to a girl working in the restaurant, she dismissively told me, "I don't know, ask the reception." This lack of basic customer service, combined with what felt like an attempt to nickel and dime guests at every turn, left a very bad impression. Overall, my stay at Palagina la Dimora was a disappointment, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

SerbiaWe loved everything about this place. The only "nice to have" thing would be to have a heated pool, so one can enjoy it also on less warm days.
Exquisite, gorgeous property ideal for a romantic weekend or short stay. We loved everything - the villa is very spacious, castle-like, as was our room, with lots of beautiful details that add to the charm of the entire estate. Beautiful, well-kept garden with magnificent views over the nearby hills and vineyards. There is also a pool that we did not use as the weather was not warm enough, but looked clean and inviting. Nice restaurant with good food and terrace to enjoy the meal or have a coffee or wine break.
