The bed was firm and lumpy. We were provided one pillow per person.

We felt the staff weren’t engaging and were not forthcoming with service or information. When we sat by the pool it was difficult to get a drink. We had to go up to the bar to remind her to get our drinks. At breakfast no one really spoke to us. When we checked in, the staff were pleasant; but didn’t offer any local information or offer to assist with planning our time in the area. For exploring Tuscany, you’re located a fair way north, so it made some of our days longer due to the drive. But it was close to Florence.

The rooms, pool, hotel buildings and gardens are all beautiful. It was mostly peaceful except for the few large groups retuning from dinner for the evening who like the sound of their own voice.

Unfortunately on the day of our check out we were told that the restaurant was fully booked, I asked if we were able to order any snacks and they said that we cannot. Our flight wasn’t until 8pm and we had unfortunately missed breakfast which meant we would have to go all day without food. We were told that there was a restaurant that was around a 20 minute drive away, however, we didn’t have a hire car so would have had to have called a taxi but taxis are near impossible to find/book in this area (and extremely expensive! €70 for a 20 minute journey) this meant we had no food all day. The walk would have taken over an hour and this wasn’t an option for us due to health issues. If we were informed of this when the staff knew the restaurant was becoming full then we would have made a reservation for the restaurant. We were out all day at a wedding, however, a message through the app or a note left in our room would have sufficed. We also weren’t the only people staying who had the same issue. I think that the guests staying at the hotel should still be allowed to order food rather than outside customers being prioritised, or, enough food should be ordered to allow the hotel guests to be able to eat a light snack. Due to this situation, our stay was tainted sadly.

The staff were extremely useful, professional and polite. They were very accommodating where they could be, as an example we asked if we could order room service, they advised that they had provided the wrong menu in the room and so brought us the correct menu to allow us to appropriately order, however, please see my notes below in the “What didn’t you like” section to understand why I wrote “accommodating where they could be.” The resort was beautiful and the food was excellent.

Not much to be honest. The room/bathroom could have more shelves/spaces (However, this is really picky)

Views are absolutely beautiful and are worth a visit/stay/alone. Pool/sauna/spa facilities are in spotless condition. Restaurant/bar staff are all very helpful and informative and will always do anything to make your stay better.

Some of the staff working there could be more friendly. We have arrived in the evening and wanted to use the pool that is heated but the weather outside was around 15 Celsius. I asked for a bathrobe as normally I would expect to have it in the room like most of good hotels… I was told it was NOT possible as the robes are only for spa guests … never heard anything like that. Also the service in the restaurant was slightly disappointing, our table was neglected whereas the table next to us was served right away… we had to wait for wine to arrive, actually had to chase for it. We got the wine but had no glasses so in the end we got two different wine glasses.. one was even for red.. when we asked for bread and olive we got them (other table didn’t even have to ask) but we got no plates to eat it on… Lastly, the place is marked as having possibility to charge an electric car which you take into consideration when booking a place but it was broken at the time of arrival, I was not informed about it so if I didn’t call before arriving, I wouldn’t have known.

Amazing area with beautiful landscape. Very nice pool area. Great breakfast with very nice staff at least at breakfast. If you are looking to see beautiful landscape and have a glass of wine (or a bottle :)) with a view, that’s the place for you.

Pool issues. We did pick this location precisely for the heated pool. It was never at temperature.

Beautiful grounds! Location convenient to several wineries. Delicious restaurant that accommodated our large party with children. Breakfast was great!

I really cannot fault this place in any way whatsoever.

This place is the perfect oasis. We stayed in the tree house, which has stunning views. The receptionist was wonderful, and even helped us get a reservation in Florence (for which our Italian wasn't good enough). The pool is heated and big enough for a decent swim. The sauna has a big window onto the grounds, which are immaculate The park&ride to Florence is 15 min drive away. Breakfast is great, and the restaurant offers wonderful cuisine.
