The rooms are very minimalistic and had no info about the hotel. The reception staff was friendly but the waiting staff seemed tired of tourists Breakfast was in an area with a great view but it would have been nice to have a bit more variety available

It was clean and the building is cool with the different styles It’s a fair way from the city centre so it’s really quiet The pool was nice Parking is at extra charge but there’s plenty of street parking available around the hotel

Adequate to stay for a night or two. Reasonably priced but could use woth uodating facilities as in our en-suite the toilet was loose and would wobble everytime you sat on it

However this hotel is a derelict shabby hotel, I’m appalled that Booking.com would allow them on their site, I will not trust anything booking.com lists from now, after checking I noticed google reviews were much different from the booking.com reviews. I asked the hotel for a refund but they refused so I will be taking this further - room smelled of sewage. - curtains that looked like something from the 70s - hot tub was not filled or working. - tons of holes, paint chippings. - bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab. - shower did not drain properly and would not drain after just one shower. Asked for a refund after explaining how bad our experience was and that we would be checking out to stay in an Airbnb, and she refused..

I absutely loved this place!!! Everything from the kindness of the staff to the great and friendly neighbourhood to the suite... amazing!!! I spent almost all of my time on the terrace, the view of mount Etna, the sea and Catania is simply breathtaking!! This is such a unique and awesome place to start vacation in Sicily. Standing ovations go out to Alessia for a ton of nice recommendations, to Francesco and his team for the patience with filling the Jacuzzi, and to the kind gentleman who patiently waited to bring me into town. I have booked again for a special close-out of my stay in Sicily...

They offer you free shuttle to the city centre or the beach but in situ they said that the beach was closed (we checked online and it was open) and they said that they don't have any places left for the city centre and we saw that the van was half empty. Every day of the 4 days we stayed there they had some kind of excuse. If you're not very skinny you wouldn't be able to get in the shower, shower door was broken and the shower head was falling apart. Also it smelled really bad from the water drain in the bathroom. Breakfast in the hotel was really bad, we didn't have much choice and it definately wasn't worth of a 4 star hotel. Also tap water isn't drinkable, you should buy bottled water. We learned that the hard way.

In short - it’s not four stars at all, not even three stars, but just a bed and an iron table, perhaps it’s stylish, but why draw stars?

- Strong smell of mould - Boiling water in faucets. Even though we reported this, it was not fixed. We could hardly take a shower - Very poor breakfast - Chipped crockery. Tea leaked from the cracked teapot - Booked a triple room but only 2 espresso cups and one coffee pod were provided in the room - Parking space very limited even though we paid extra - Overrated/overpriced - Needs refurbishment since the hotel is run down - Obviously not a deluxe room as advertised

Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble! Their on site restaurant serves the most amazing pork! But the options are a little limited. The front desk will also call very affordable taxis to the city centre and airport as well if you ask nicely. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Catania

This was a terrible experience therefore this is my first time writing a negative review. *Rooms The first room we were sent to had a bad smell of clogged sewage and it was dirty. Besides this the room was super small and dark with only one small window, the metalic walls were not only a really bad design ideea but also dirty, full of prints and grease. We went to the reception and a slightly hostile receptionist told us that we chose that design and that all rooms in the modern building look the same. After I showed her pictures of how dirty the room was she agreed to have us moved in a different room in the main building. This new room was clean but there was no AC so we ended up not sleeping that night because of the heat. The next day after they failed to fix the AC, they moved us in another room in the 'modern bulding', this time we had a balcony and a bit more space in the room, we still got to enjoy the terific design but that is not a problem. This time the room was cleaned so we agreed to stay there. Next day in the morning we noticed that the toilet didn't flush, it had like a will of its own, in the afternoons it was working but in the mornings no. The AC in this room was working but not at full capacity, it was still very warm. Normally I wouldn't complain about all of this but keep in mind that this should be a 4 star hotel. *Services We chose this hotel because they allegedly offered a free daily shuttle to a private beach (sunbeds and umbrellas included) and to the city center. So about the shuttle - you can choose only one, either to the beach or to the city center, you cannot use both, and there are only certain hours that you can go at (9 and return at 15 or 10 and return at 16) This was not what we were expecting but we said ok, no problem and we chose the beach. When we arrived there the beach was closed and empty, we walked and found another private beach nearby and we called the hotel.
