Noise levels

Very convenient location and helpful, friendly staff. Special thanks to Lisa at reception who gave us wonderful suggestions of beautiful and different sights to see (like the old pharmacy and the bookshop/cinema in 1930s style) Hotel being at a relatively busy piazza , noise levels are high late into the night...so ear plugs are a must if you want a restful night's sleep.

It was fairly dark in our room and there was a big mold stain on the wall next to the A/C unit. Also, our window looked directly across a tiny courtyard into another hotel room window, so we kept the shutters closed most of the time. This added to the darkness. One strange thing that occurred every morning for half an hour: it sounded like whoever was upstairs was pushing/dragging furniture across the floor. It was incredibly loud and obnoxious.

The location was great, and most of the front desk staff was very friendly. Our room (403) was basic, clean, and met our needs. We'd like to recognize the maid service for doing an excellent job cleaning up our room every day! Much appreciated! Overall, we were happy and didn't mind the small negatives.

In 504 I stubbed my toe on the bathroom floor rise going in and stumbled coming out.

Simple, clean and convenient. Modern bathroom Close to train station, airport tram and the Duomo. Lots of little restaurants and shops nearby.

Some of the rooms location needed to use a few steps of the stairs. If it was just me it would have been fine but I was travelling with my mom (65y/o) with medium suitcases which made it a bit challenging. I also find the room a bit dark. And one of the lights in the bathroom was busted too.

Location was very good. 4mins away from the train station. Our room’s view was the piazza de santa maria novella. Front desk was very helpful with luggage storage and printing our train ticket.

Air condition is hard to control. Shower room is too small and many water leak to the bathroom. Flush toilet is too noisy.

The drain in the shower and sink were very slow - I had to stop the shower so that it wouldn’t overflow. Bathroom is very narrow but I didn’t mind so much. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs as the church bells are charming but loud. This isn’t a problem with the property just a heads up.

Convenience! Very close to the tram, restaurants and shopping. There is an elevator :) Views to the courtyard of the church are nice. AC was in great working order. Staff is SUPER nice!!

No catering facilities or bar/cafe in the hotel. Plenty outside in the Piazza but would be nice to have some in the hotel.

Very convenient location in the bustling Piazza Santa Maria Novella, just a five minute walk from the railway station. Very easy to walk to all the major sites.

Room faced the courtyard so was quite dark and musty. For this reason we wanted to leave the window open but this then let in lots of mosquitoes which ate us alive. The aircon also drips water onto a powerpoint which is slightly concerning. I also wish there was a kettle.

Perfect location, just in front of piazza Santa Maria Novella. Great spot for having breakfast, dinner or some cocktails by night and scaping the busy streets of Florence. 2 minutes away from the station. Friendly staff and beautiful room.

Fantastic location - 5 min walk to train station, less than 15 min walk to David and restaurant / cafe as soon as you walk out the door. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic rooms but all you need. Comfortable and great aircon.

The wifi connection in the room was terrible!!! Had to return the key pass to reception each time we left the room as it was one of their rules. There is no good lighting, it’s dark.
