Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Property is in a busy area so was expecting to hear a lot of noise, but it was delightfully quiet inside. The staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the water was hot. Breakfast was also wonderful! We completely enjoyed our stay. Location is within walking distance to most everything you’d want to visit in Rome.

Hotel was a few hundred feet from the Trevi Fountains and on a main walking street. Excellent Staff including Front Desk Claudio. Great Breakfast with so many pastry selections. Room was very quiet even in the busy locatiion, Connected to an awesome restaurant.

The location was amazing - we were only in Rome for 1 night for an early flight the next day but were able to see everything we needed from the location. The staff was very friendly, and provided breakfast for us in the morning as well as airport transportation.

FinlandThe smell of cleaners/chemicals was very strong in the room after every visit from the cleaners. It was a bit disturbing, but we were able to open the windows to remove it.
Location is excellent, just around the corner from Trevi Fountain. One of us was travelling with coeliac disease, and the breakfast options were very good! Also: a very good gluten free restaurant is located just around the corner! Also the staff was very polite and helpful. We got many good tips for travelling from them! Will surely stay here in the future as well!
