A problem with ventilation in one of the bedrooms when AC was not running

We really loved our stay at the Ortigia Suite - Archimede! It was a fantastic location with all the necessary amenities in easy walking distance. The apartment was bright, clean, well appointed and very quiet at night. The apartment was a corner suite so had lovely big windows on both sides of the suite. There was a charming balcony off of the kitchen that was perfect for having morning coffee or drinks in the evening to watch the comings and goings of the lovely Ortigia life. The host was very accessible and prompt in her replies and ordered us taxi's and provided restaurant suggestions, etc. Great stay!

Perfect for 2+2 family - with separate bedrooms, full kitchen, living room, big bathroom, and balcony with 2 chairs and beautiful view over small square. Small supermarket and few morning bakeries nearby. We recommend to go for a morning walk to Ortigia market (fish, fruit, vegetables). Public Talete parking is the closest, ca. 5' walk, in January there was always a place to park there.

All perfect - nothing to dislike

Everything! The furnishings are modern, it’s bright, exceptionally clean and the space is wonderful and roomy with a fantastic main balcony. Location is spot on with everything easily walkable in a few minutes and the upmarket deli/convenience store opposite a real bonus. Helen of Ortigia Suites was great to deal with

They have the option to have a person meeting you for an extra 20 Eu. It just does not feel very welcoming. Is like trying to get every cent out of you. From charging cleaning fees to pay someone to welcome you. Extra fees is one of the reasons we no longer use Airbnb.

As a general rule we do not book places that have cleaning fees and that use door codes instead of welcoming humans. But we did this time. The apartment 2 bedroom set up with two matrimonial beds was what we needed and this was one of the few places that offered this option in the center of Ortigia. After the e mail explaining how to access the property we made phone contact asking about the possibility of an early ck in. Since the place had no guests that day, we were kindly allowed to ck in early. The person answering the phone was very nice, so it was a good start. The instructions were perfectly clear, no trouble at all. Apartment floor plan good, but it looked a bit worn. The wood floor is a bit scuffed and in need of a shine, but this did not affect the quality of our stay. Just describing the place. One thing to be aware. From the first bedroom to reach the bath and living area there us a little step up. Need to be careful during the night when using the facilities. Beds very comfy, air conditioning works great. Good size bathroom and shower( rarity in Italy). Various sitting options. We sat at the table most of the time because had a good view to the street below. Did not cook much, but the time we did, we had everything we needed. The location is just perfect! Across street from the Ortigia shuttle that comes by every 20 minutes. A good size grocery store right in front, restaurants and cafés steps away. You are in the middle of the island, so you can reach every place by few minutes walking. The assigned host was prompt in responding to our queries and did check on a us a few times via WhatsApp. So summing up, we were pleased with the selection of this place.

The location, the modern facilities, and the character-filled 18th century building the apartment was in. Just loved the balcony overlooking the piazza and the bar/cafe directly below for coffee.

The apartment was fantastic, it was very clean, comfortable bed and living space, air conditioned, and a beautiful little balcony to sit and people watch in the little square. It is right in the old town, close walk to the Duomo, and many restaurants and shopping. The property managers were quick to answer when we had an issue with one of the gates, it was fixed remotely.

Great place right in the heart of Ortigia. Easy to find, very detailed instructions for self check-in. The apartment has everything needed and was quite comfortable for 4 people and a child. Great service - the manager is always available if needed and is very helpful. Heartily reccommend.

It was all pretty good! There was some debris coming from the AC in the kitchen but I think it was because of the very high humidity.

A very spacious and superbly furnished flat situated in the best place to explore Ortigia. Though the contact was via the phone and door codes, the host was very helpful and everything was easy.

The location is very convenient and well located with respect to restaurants, bars and shopping/sightseeing. The convenience store located opposite was well stocked and ideal for an extended stay. I cannot speak more highly of the host. Questions were answered promptly and every asssistance was provided with booking transport. Suggestions as to what to do to cover time when it was likely to rain was typical of the care provided. I would strongly recommend the Ortigia Suite Archimede.

Very goog ocalisation. Public free parking 10 minut away (Riva della Posta). Goog equiped apartment. Quiet (maybe January). Good suggestion of owners conserning restaurants.

Strickly speaking it is the best place we've ever been, everthing was perfect- the location, clean and spacious apartment, comforable bedrooms, free wi-fi. Such a magical place with beautiful view. We hope to be back there soon.

We loved the 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and the wonderful market. We loved sitting out in the balcony late into the night. Our friends would stayed with us thought it was charming with a well equipped kitchen. Suited wandering around Ortigia perfectly. Spacious and comfortable for the four of us
