Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South KoreaThis is a personal take but it was a bit strange to not meet any employee face to face (its the concept of this hotel) which is great for ppl who want as little human interaction as possible. I felt a bit alone in the big house (esp cause i was the only person staying for one of the nights - little bit eerie) Recommendation: +maybe the hostel wifi password can be written at the door so if anyone arrives without checking in(uploading passport etc because they have bad data connection during the previous journey) they can figure it out at the door and not worry. Older not so digital saavy ppl may find it hard to navigate. +the door entering the dorm room opens with a very loud beep and click ( so if u go out of the room at night to use the bathroom u might wake up everyone else -pretty sure i did) +the common area was fine but the dorm room felt quite dusty with no way to open the window. It would be good if guests can sometimes open the window for ventilation
Its extremely clean with free towels and lockers. The common area also has free snacks and tea/coffee. Location is also very convenient.

IndiaAmazing hostel! It felt very fancy, almost like a hotel. There was a free espresso machine and snacks available for the guests. The whole area was kept very clean, and we also had big lockers (and keys). And ofcourse, the location is amazing. The hosts, although not there (it's a reception less self checkin experience), were very responsive and helpful on message

PolandFrom what we saw there were only two toilets which was kind of a bummer as in the morning everyone went to shower and we had to wait a long time so that they would free up. Another thing was the lack of A/C. So at night, it can get very hot.
We were given two beds next to each other which was perfect as it made us feel more comfortable. The place was very clean, very big, and nicely decorated. The toilets were really clean and big. It is located in the center in a small alley meaning at nighttime it is very quiet. Definitely recommending.
