Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayI would like to have a table in front of the apartment with 4 chairs, where we could eat breakfast. Only two chairs and no table in the apartment.
Large property with swimming pool (which we did not use). Spacious rooms. Walking distance (700-1200 m) from trains stops for trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum or Naples. Lots of cats for children to play with.

United KingdomNothing to not like . Just perhaps maybe a comment about the pool only a suggestion to have depth markers as it suddenly dips.quite deep halfway.
Peaceful and tranquil stay, lovely setting. Gino was a very welcoming host. The grounds and poolside were absolutely immaculate. We went as a family of 4 and were very fortunate to have the beautiful pool entirely to ourselves many times. When it was shared such a large pool, you were not on top of each other. We had an upper apartment with a large terrace. The room consisted of a large bedroom double sofa bed in the lounge area , a small equipped kitchen, and bathroom. Perfect for a weeks stay. The area is fully fenced in and you have an electric key fob for entry to the grounds so very secure. . Close to Pompeii but far enough away for the peace. I would recommend a car hire . As a family we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

PolandMy stay at this apartment was absolutely wonderful! The gated property offers peace and privacy, with a pool just steps from the apartment. The surroundings are filled with lemon and orange trees, adding to the charm. The view of Mount Vesuvius is breathtaking. There's also an excellent restaurant on-site serving delicious cuisine. Very good location to reach all attraction. The highlight was the host, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and beautiful vacation spot!

AustraliaThey have several apartments not all with kitchens, so check what you are getting as the photos are all combined. We thought we booked an apartment with a kitchen but didn’t, the owners let us use the one from the vacant adjoining apartment so all good.
Really clean and comfortable rooms, set in the middle of a farm growing lemons oranges and olive trees. Beautiful feel to the place.

United KingdomFabulous quiet place from all the noise. If you love nature, this is the place for you. Mature orange and olive trees give this place beautiful scenery 😍. Not far from Vesuvius and the sea! The pool is great to cool in as the temperatures were up to 29 degrees in September. Very clean, staff very polite and can't do enough for you! Gino , the owner, has just bought this place this year and had big plans to expand! He offers tax services if required! Restaurant starting sometime this October! Definitely recommend! Definitely visiting again!

IrelandBring plenty of money! Or do a good shop (get an apartment with a kitchen of Gino, not all in his estate have kitchens!) Maybe bring a travel kettle too! We found eating out very expensive , much more so than Ireland (North West Donegal, also tourist area), the food was wonderful but my partner found a place in Sorrento near the train for eggs and bacon etc lol. Beaches are not free mostly!! And bring flip flops that stay on your feet as they're often rocky but the water is like nothing I've experienced! Very salty but so warm and soothing it's nearly thermal. Toilets are not free, bring plenty 50 cents! ! Maps are often not free! There is very little free like you would see in Ireland. And because Italy is so populated it is quite poor and no minimum wage so you can imagine they need to maximise money in the tourist season hence the price for everything!
I don't know where to start! We had a last minute change of accommodation to Tenuta Nunziata based on the pool. It was the best decision in the end. Tenuta Nunziata is halfway between Naples and Sorrento on the train which is a 15 min or less walk away at the villa Regina. Train travel is very cheap make sure to say 'ritorno' clearly and not return as they might not hear!! Use google maps to get the location of the station! Do not be put off by the surrounding area it is actually very friendly just not overly touristy! There is a small shop a short walk from the accommodation, turn right when you leave the gates then turn left and keep left, cria I think it is called. There is a nearby antiquarian in Boscoreale which shows facets of life in the area preserved from the eruption, as well as the ruins of oplonti and probably plenty more! Pompeii is one train stop away! I was blown away with the Tenuta Nunziata from the moment we arrived. The accommodation itself is simple and very clean, however the surroundings were a massive surprise. Gino's historic farmhouse (divided into apartments) are in the midst of an expansive Olive Grove with limes, lemons and some oranges, with a lovely view of mt. Vesuvius, and on climbing to the upper floor patio there are more mountainous views. Gino is a restauranteur also and will take you to one of his restaurants if you ask, he also produces his own olive oil on the estate. The estate has history too, which is the reason for a shrine or'chapel'. During an eruption of vesuvius in the early 1900's, Tenuta Nunziata was the only place in its surroundings missed by volcanic debris, so it was considered blessed and sacred! And it certainly is! The pool is wonderful, it has a deep end and a shallow end and my partner and daughter loved it and spent so much time in it, night and morning.
