Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The location is spectacular, the best view we have had! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for us to make family dinners. The whole apartment was very spacious and this stay was a highlight of our Italian holiday. Giorgia was an amazing host as was her son who met us. They helped with very reasonably priced transfers and a wonderful private boat tour of the coast. We can’t recommend this place more.

United StatesThe trade off for a private piece of incredible views, water and all the beautiful caves and grottos is the stairs. Well worth it. We stocked up on groceries and didn’t need anything.
Exclusive access to enjoy the sea. Private sun decks, access to water, great patio to enjoy the sunset. If that wasn’t enough…the host Giorgia! She was kind, helpful and great communication!! She helped make our stay.

United KingdomThe steps are a killer and you need to organise your day accordingly so not traipsing up in the sun. I’d recommend the villa getting some bigger mugs and a few more pillows for the beds.
The view from the property is amazing. We even had fireworks several times at night. The property is well kept and Giorgia our host is awesome. She helped us get taxis, boat trips and take out food. We loved our stay. It is pricey but this was a holiday to remember and we wanted to enjoy ourselves following a tough year.

United StatesBe aware that there are a lot of stairs!! Don’t be surprised when you come. Also there wasn’t enough hot water if several people in a row were showering after one another. One of the beds was a little hard to sleep on
It has absolutely stunning views and decorations. The house was beautiful and the host was super responsive and helpful! Only about a 20 minute walk to the town of Maiori where they honestly had the best (and most affordable) restaurants on the coast.

The view of this property is amazing and It’s spacious. Note that you have to go up/down 270 steps. The town is a 10min walk. However, it’s down/up a hill.

United StatesWe really had no complaints. I wish there were paper towels or cloth towels in the kitchen, but we found that normal everywhere we were staying in Italy.
Loved the size of the villa. We were a group of 6 and had plenty of space. The views are spectacular! It is around 250 steps down to the villa, but thats a given if you want to be close to the water. We loved Maiori, so much less hectic than Amalfi or Positano. The beach in Maiori is nice and wide, lots of places to eat along the boardwalk! It is about a 20 minute walk to Maiori from the villa with no sidewalk and on a windy road. We felt comfortable doing this when we left in the morning, but took taxi's to get back in the evening when it started getting dark. We were traveling around Italy for a few weeks, and this was one of our favorite spots! Giorgia who manages the property was great! She organized a transfer for us from Pompei to the villa and then to the train station in Naples at the end of our stay. She was very responsive and we really appreciated all of her help!

Israellots of stairs although host warned us in advance so we were well prepared. Parking is on the Amalfi road itself (some spaces close to property entry) so very tricky. Recommended not to arrive after dark as walking on the Amalfi roadside with suitcases even if we are talking about a few meters... is quite dangerous (in daylight too, let alone in the pitch dark...) Make sure to have everything you need for meals and cooking with you as going in and out of Villa to main road is exhausting (250 steps) - and it is not in the city....but overall we were very well prepared and it was worth it :)
Huge villa with direct access to private sea front. Wow.....worth everything!!!!! View is AMAZING Did not have to go anywhere! did not want to leave! We spent the entire weekend fishing, swimming, snorkling, exploring water caves nearby. Fantastic...

OMG! Where to start? George is a such amazing host. Honest, helpful (100% she helped us when we had an accident) talk-active, she knows everything about the region so she can provide you great tips for your staying. Born to work with people. About the place; 10 out of 10, view, accommodation, design - everything was on the top level. PLEASE do not complain about the stairs, this is Amalfi Coast if you don't like walk on stairs - go to Maldives. BESOS.

AustraliaMy only negative is the stairs down to the villa, even though I had read on the booking, nothing quite prepares you for 200+ steps to walk up. Although the villa itself completely out weighs the negative.
Where do I start with this place.......the views are unbelievable, house perched on a cliff with views to the amalfi coast. Host Georgia is a real sweetheart, brought us delicious donunts when we arrived, was so accommodating and available whenever through her whatsapp. She helped organise a fantastic boat trip with Marcello and Adrian, which picked us up just below the apartment on its own little platform :) cost €700 for the whole day inc: lunch and drinks. She also helped with taxis to and from the airport/train station which allowed the transfers to run smoothly. Maiori itself is appox 15min stroll away on a narrow road although that didnt worry our family.

South AfricaThe 200 stairs (but we had had sufficient warning on the internet, so we knew what we were getting into!). Catching buses is not too easy as the property is between stops but the walk down to Maiori is not difficult.
This is an amazing property with private access to the sea below. The apartment was wonderful and Gorgia was immediately available to help when we had an issue with the air-conditioning. The views are spectacular and my teenage sons loved snorkeling in the private cove below.

Everything was wonderful! Our hostess was amazing and gave us great suggestions, the name of a driver. We had a boat pick us up and take us to Capri. On the way there we got to see all of the Amalfi coast.

No breakfast. Location is accessible by a car or taxi from Maiori town center but on a narrow road so you need to be very careful pulling over the car as the road curves around where it is located.
