Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyBreakfast is served as sandwiches and drinks in a cafe below the hostel. With the voucher given to you, you can buy a sandwich or a croissant, a hot and a cold drink, and a fruit salad. Since we, as Turks, have a wide breakfast culture, it seemed a little inadequate to us. There was wifi in the B&b. However, we could not access the internet in the bedroom. Since there was only a door between us and the next room, we could hear enough to understand the conversations of the people in the other room. There was little to no privacy.
The location of the hotel was great. We could walk everywhere in 15-20 minutes. Since the b&b is right in the square, you can go anywhere you want with the buses leaving right in front of it. The view was very beautiful. the rooms were spacious and clean

AustraliaWe liked it all! Thank you to the staff who were so welcoming! The breakfast cafe for breakfast was a little bit of a let down and there was very limited choice.
It was wonderful to have such a spacious and comfortable room in the centre of Rome. It was close to sights such as The Colosseum, The Forum and The Trevi Fountain. Great location with lots of cafes, restaurants and bars. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

SerbiaThis apartment is bigger than on the photos, it is comfortable and warm (we were there in January). The location is perfect, on Piazza Venezia, you can see Capitoline Hill and Vittoriano from the windows, Theatre of Marcellus is just around the corner, and Colosseum, The Roman Forum, Arch of Constantine are minutes walk from the apartment. There are cafes, restaurants, bars, gelaterias, pizzerias and shops nearby. From Piazza Venezia to Piazza del Popolo runs famous street Via del Corso, with shops, restaurants, galleries and churches. Pantheon, Vatican, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish steps, Piazza Navona, all of it is at a walking distance. Breakfast is served in a bar downstairs (the bar itself is open 24/7), and is ok. Taxi stop is downstairs, bus terminus is in front of the building, bus stop for hop-on-hop-off is behind the building... So, it is so convenient, that you can go out in the morning, see what you want, have lunch, come back to your room, relax, and than go out again, because everything is closeby, and Rome is very, very lively city, from early morning to late evening. Many museums, galleries, even basilicas are open until 8 pm, and there are night visits to Colosseum as well. Our host Massimiliano gave us some tips for food, where to eat (from fine dining to street food), which was very helpful. All in all, this is a great place for visiting Rome. Plus the apartment is in the old building, so it gives you that special vibe of Rome, because Rome is old, it is ancient, you can feel it and see it (and smell it) while you're there.

BelgiumInitially, we booked what was advertised as a premier suite with a living room, but encountered an unexpected hiccup when one of the living room doors was locked by the cleaner without prior notice on day 2. When we reached out to the owner, it was clarified as a misunderstanding, yet it left us feeling a bit unsettled about our privacy. While the owner's effort to rectify the situation was appreciated, it highlighted a lapse in communication that impacted our experience. Moreover, the proximity to the roundabout means there can be quite some noise with the cars due to traffic. Additionally, while the breakfast at the café was convenient, we would have preferred the option to have it served in-room for added comfort. Had we been aware beforehand that the apartment was intended as a two-bedroom unit without the living room access, it might have influenced our decision differently. Despite these drawbacks, the central location and the apartment's views were certainly appealing aspects of our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at this centrally located apartment in Rome for my husband's birthday. The convenience of walking to nearby attractions, coupled with easy access to bus stops, made exploring the city effortless. The apartment itself was stunning, offering fantastic views and nearby amenities like great restaurants and baggage storage options for those wanting to wander after check-out. Additionally, having breakfast available at the café in the building was a delightful start to our days. Highly recommended for families with toddlers looking for both comfort and convenience in the heart of Rome!

FranceLike it’s a very good location, it’s just in front of a tourist place, you are near a main road and there is a lot of traffic during the evening and early in the morning, that’s the only thing which had been disappointing.
It’s original to take the breakfast in the bar near the property. Everything was good and warm welcome.

SpainEverything was perfect and added to our Rome experience.
Truly an Italian apartment with the most incredible views! The apartment is located in historic Rome and close to the Big Bus stop and within walking distance of many of Rome’s most popular attractions. Daily breakfast at the cafe was provided and added charm to our entire experience. Our host was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

United KingdomOverall everything was to our satisfaction but travellers need to be aware that this is an apartment building and if you have any problems then the owner resolves things asap.
The Aracoeli B&B is situated right opposite the popular Vittorio Emanuele and can be seen from the bedroom window. There is also several bus stops right outside the apartment which makes easy access to either the Termini station or vatican city. All other landmarks are of walking distance with the colloseum being only 5 minutes away. The accommodation is inviting and the owner, Massimo keeps in touch throughout the stay ensuring things are ok. Michael is also fantastic and makes sure things are clean. The breakfast is not served at the B&B but at the Cafe Aracoeli which is 2 doors away. The owners of the cafe are also very welcoming and you hand over the breakfast voucher to them to order, breakfast consists of a coissant or sandwich, hot and cold drink and some fruit. There are food places on the same row and a place with really good gelato only a few doors away, you have to try the pistachio orange gelato! Overall a lovely location, in the heart of Rome, easy acceas to everything and welcoming owners, 5*. (travelled with my husband and son)

AustraliaNo coffee pod machine. … just a little extra for the morning. We stayed 5 nights and though the breakfast was included at a local bar/restaurant… was the same thing every day … coffee, water and a pastry / white bread sandwich .. we could’ve chosen to have juice instead of water but the juice was not a fresh / real juice .. bit of a change would’ve made a difference seeing how we were there 5 breakfasts .. but other than that. Perfect location .. easy walking to all the major sites
