I wished we had stayed longer!

Mateo is the most gracious, amazing host we ever have had. He explained in such detail the places of interest in Ostuni and catered the restaurant recommendations to our particular taste. The house is full of history and beyond amazing, since he has a personal connection to the place the experience of both meeting him and staying in is unparalleled. The breakfast surpased our expectatives and was such a delight full of sweet pastries and fruit and more internationally friendly options (such as eggs and ham), each room is unique and full of history, ours was floral inspired and I just know that the details, from the interior design to the bed blankets and towels are all high quality and were handpicked by Mateo, we deeply appreciated his commitment to make it a memorable stay for guest in both in his b&b and in Ostuni. This b&b made me rethink my definition of luxury (not mass marketed) and how once in a lifetime unique stays still exist.

Stunning, authentic property. Very well maintained. A lovely 10 minute walk to the centre. The room was perfect and the air conditioning helped this summer. Gorgeous bedroom with lots of space for all our bags. Mateo is the most fabulous host and was amazing throughout our stay. Reserved all our restaurants and was available for any questions. My husband and I recently stayed at Palazzo Stunis on our honeymoon and were welcomed by our fabulous host Matteo! The property, the location, the history, the incredible breakfast - the entire experience was unforgettable and amazing. Matteo gave us not only a beautiful place to stay but incredible hospitality. After serving us the most delightful and beautifully presented breakfast I have ever seen, he sat with us and explained the ins and outs of not only Ostuni, but all the parts of Puglia we were visiting. He kindly suggested different day trips, beaches and restaurants to visit, which became the foundation of our 2 weeks in Puglia. Everything he recommended was perfect and we are certain we would not have had the same experiences without spending time with Matteo. He also booked us some amazing restaurants in Ostuni (which were some of the best meals of our entire 4 weeks in Italy) and suggested beautiful bars for pre/post dinner drinks along with the best view points to view the white city. Our only regret was not staying for longer. Matteo, we will most certainly be back and highly recommend your beautiful property to all future guests. Bellissimo!

We had the most memorable stay at Palazzo Stunis to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The boutique hotel is in an excellent location which is quiet and only a short walk to the main square. Parking is also available. It is an exquisitely renovated former family home, decorated to the highest standards by the meticulous owner Matteo. It is immaculately clean and nothing is too much trouble for Matteo who makes you feel very much at home. Breakfast in the morning is lovely with a varied selection of fresh pastries, meats and cheeses amongst other things. We felt so spoilt by Matteo who takes such pride in what he does. The service here is impeccable, second to none and we had some lovely recommendations of where to eat, visit and where to buy the best delicacies to take back to the U.K. Matteo is professional and friendly and contactable by phone for whatever you need. I was able to contact him before my departure to arrange some special touches for my wife’s birthday and he was so obliging and made the day special. We have already recommended the hotel to others and look forward to returning if we are ever lucky enough to visit the beautiful Ostuni again.

We found that everything good said about the owner/host, Matteo, is correct. He's friendly, welcoming, and makes himself available for any questions or help. Parking in Ostuni is a challenge, but Matteo literally parked and retrieved our rental car for us multiple times, even telling us to call him 10 min. before returning to the B&B so he could be there to park it for us! Our room was large and had its own access to the street. The only downside with it was some traffic noise, but that eventually stopped. The linens on the bed were changed daily and there was a welcome heated rack in the bathroom for drying towels. The breakfast buffet had many tasty options. We wouldn't hesitate to book Palazzo Stunis - Dimora di Charme again.

I don’t have anything to say bad about this place. It was amazing!

We are ruined! Matteo has set the bar for every other place we will stay! His attention to detail was superior to anything we’ve experienced. He was helpful, informative, friendly…all of it. I couldn’t say enough about how he went above and beyond. -he helped with parking by offering to take the car to the car park for us and return it when we needed it -breakfast offerings were plentiful -he hand created maps with helpful information and places to see -the home is impeccably renovated -his attention to detail is just fantastic….little things like he placed our toothbrush holder in the drawer and left the drawer open slightly so that we knew where to find it, robes with hoods, toiletries, ironed sheets….it was amazing I can’t say enough about our experience! It was amazing!

You cannot ask for a better host than Matteo! He is fantastic from check-in to breakfast to any needs you may have during your stay. He is there for you. He is truly interested in making your stay the very best. The breakfast was incredible with a very large variety of foods from pastries to fruit and vegetables to local yogurt and meats/cheese. Phenomenal! The house is amazing having been restored by Matteo to its original early 19th century (or earlier) state. The attention to detail is amazing from the hand painted ceilings to the variety of antiques in every room to the travel and cooking books in his library (English and Italian). The rooftop sitting area was a great place to relax at the end of the day. Matteo also provides his own custom map of the city with bars and restaurant locations indicated. All of his recommendations were fantastic. We could not have been happier with our 8 night stay!

Matteo was the best host, gave us such good recommendations of things to do in and around Ostuni (restaurants, beaches, sites etc…) The palazzo which has been in his family for years has been beautifully renovated with authenticity and charm. The palazzo is a 3 minute walk from the city center and boasts a rooftop with a great view. The breakfast spread was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. There is a parking 3 minutes away from the hotel.

Cannot fault this place!

My wife and I have just left Palazzo Stunis and were blown away by the experience. The host Matteo has left no stone unturned in not only the renovation of his family home (paying tribute to and respecting the gorgeous build) but also the service and hospitality. From the fresh sheets on the bed daily through to the delicious breakfast and the attention to detail throughout, this is the place you NEED to stay at when you come to Ostuni. The location is amazing being so close to town and the private parking makes things super easy if you have a car. On top of it all, Matteo is such a friendly and warm person that you really like a family member in his home, not a guest.

Everything was great, no complaints

This was a beautiful place to stay with a great location in Ostuni. We could walk everywhere in town. Matteo was a perfect host. He communicated well, welcomed us warmly, and gave us excellent recommendations for great local food and drink. Breakfast was excellent and we appreciated the filtered water, coffee, and snacks available all day. Our room was very clean and spacious with a big closet for suitcases.
