Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesSpagna Rooms was the perfect place to stay! Super nice and extra clean with outdoor space to entertain. The location is PERFECT and central to everything you’d want to see in Rome. Most importantly, Francesca was able to accommodate some special needs — service was impeccable. I know where I’m staying next time I visit Rome!

TurkeyEverything was perfect.Every day they make up the room and changed the bath towels as well as you are staying at a five star hotel.A coffe machine,kinds of coffe and tea selections,a mini refregerator and cold drinks,some snacks for breakfast. A small terrace where you can have breakfast, lunch or even dinner or just relax. And I think this detail is very important for women. Hair straighteners have never been considered in any hotel or accommodation facility before, but I think it is a great privilege to have them available for women's use in this facility.Literally in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of most of the must-see attractions.As a result, I will organize my next trip to Rome according to the availability of Spagna Rooms. IrelandOur only minor criticisms during our stay were, 1. the room is quite small in size, it is what it is, but something to be aware of; and 2. some of the TV channels were not working. Likely not an issue for a lot of people, nor is in reality.
Great location and super friendly host. Great immediate contact on booking, very friendly and helpful even though it was late evening. Arrived early the next day to complete the check-in for us and brought breakfast pastries! Super friendly with all info and anything else we needed.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaFrancesca is an amazing host and the accommodation is superb, including complimentary snacks, coffee and above all the amazing central location. Francesca provided us with a list of restaurants she recommends (great one, btw :)) and also booked a taxi on our behalf. The cleaning lady cleaned the room every day. We felt like in a hotel - perfectly taken care of. The cozy terrace is a rare bonus for such location!
