A really great base for a stay in Rome. Staff were absolutely lovely (they bought a cake for my partner as a surprise for his birthday!). Breakfast was delivered to the room daily. Location is great, just across the river from a lot of the main tourist sights but far enough away that the area is not crowded. There is a nice little coffee shop next door. Room was very spacious, lots of wardrobe space and a big walk in shower. Cleaned daily to a very high standard. Air-con worked well. Highly recommend this place!

The location is fine and it would be quiet better if you travel maybe the start of winter time for those from cold places to enjoy walking without sweating too much😁 but the location is great. There is a restobar nearby the place where you can enjoy the river view and night lights. The owner and the staffs are accomodating and there is no stress of asking questions. Food is unlimited😁. I highly recommend the place for friends or even a small group of families. Our stay was quick but enjoyable❤️

This place was a hidden gem! It has a great location and we were able to walk to the Colliseum, Forum, and the Vatican. The room was awesome with a high picturesque ceiling and clean modern design. The staff were so friendly and helpful, you felt right at home. They also bring you delicious breakfast right to your room each morning. I would definitely recommend this place!

Fabulous location with easy access by foot to most attractions. Beautiful decor and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions to restaurants and information of how to get around. They went the extra mile to ensure we had a pleasant stay and accommodated any request we had for breakfast even if it wasn't on the menu. Breakfast was rolled into our room at the exact time we had requested. We were able to store our luggage till the evening where we were due to leave. We can highly recommend this place and are more than happy to return again whenever in Rome. Thank you!

Nothing. I loved everything about this place.

Great location and we were able to walk to all historical sites. We were also able to walk to a part of town called tastier which has really cool restaurants. Honestly, this location could not have been better, the room was immaculate, the AC was cold and the bathrooms were beautiful. They would provide you with an order form to order your breakfast and would deliver at whatever time you choose the next morning. It was so nice to be catered to. There is an elevator that will take you, which is a nice find in Italy!

We liked everything in this b&b, from the decor, size of the room, there was ac and a lift, breakfast in bed, the shower, location and more importantly, the owner and the staff. The design of the room was very nice and the color palette, esp the ceiling. The room was big so we could really move around and open all our 3 large luggages. The beds were super comfortable. I was surprised about the breakfast in bed. They ask for your order the day before and they deliver the food and drinks to you the next morning at the time you requested. Location was just walking distance to some attractions. Lastly, the management and staff. They reached out to us before coming to the b&b to explain the check-in procedure, how to get there and even booked a pick-up for us to and from the airport. They can also book a taxi for you if you need one. Big shout out to Matteo, Yen and Virginia. Their service was excellent, very friendly and made our stay memorable.

NOTHING! Everything was nearly perfect. The only nitpick whatsoever is that for families the rooms may be a little small, but that's no issue for anybody else.

I do not usually leave reviews on places, hardly ever. However this B&B deserves one simply for how fantastic every aspect of the stay was. At first I was skeptical to book- simply as this seemed to be a fairly new location, with little reviews and not many pictures; additionally, as I’m sure with many people, the term “B&B” has been soured by the airbnb brand (rest assured this is held to much higher standards than airbnb). Despite this, 5 star reviews from Google and above 4.5 from booking.com made me feel comfortable booking. And am I glad I did. The checkin service is phenomenal, Matteo (the host) was very helpful responding and helping to find the property and get into the room. The counter service walked us through every amenity kindly and even provided a map of Roma with all the biggest attractions, shopping locations, and a list of different restaurants at different prices, locations, and eating styles across the city- which came in especially helpful. Also, every day we woke up and left for the day we were greeted by the staff not just saying hello, but also checking up on us and remembering small details about us that made it feel especially welcoming. Every morning breakfast (which you are able to order from an extensive menu the day prior) was delivered on a table by the staff to our door- and not on a flimsy tray or a paper plate, but on a nicely decorated and prepared rolling table. The food itself was also very good, and all of it was included in the price of the room! The staff would also come in daily as we were away and clean the rooms- which is not unusual for hotels nor B&B’s- but was very nicely done and was always nice to come home to. The rooms themselves are also beautiful and spotless, with a decorated recessed ceiling. The only and I mean ONLY reason I gave the rooms a 4/5 is simply because (in my experience only) I am not sure about the size for families.

Great location in a quiet and safe neighborhood but very convenient to get to all the attractions. There is a bus station close by. Breakfast was served in the room everyday. The owner Matteo went out of the way to ensure we had breakfast early before we left on the last day of our stay. He also gave us a discount since we did not eat breakfast one of the days. The receptionists were also very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and very comfortable beds. They arranged taxi service as well for us. Enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

It was so beautiful as well as in a wonderful location of town in Rome. Nothing more I could ask for in our room. Comfortable bed, wonderful shower, and all in all a perfect 10! Loved the location- it was close enough to walk to all of the hot spots but was in a quiet neighborhood with not a lot of tourists/crowds. The staff was also great in providing recommendations & accommodations for our needs (one of us has a nut allergy and they were very helpful with the breakfast orders). Matteo was easy to communicate with and so helpful in getting us a ride from the airport & sharing local spots for delicious food.

The rooms were clean and well maintained. The rainfall shower was a definite plus after a long hot day in the city. The breakfast was well done and perfect everyday. Recommend the orange juice and espresso. Matteo and Virginia(sp) were incredibly helpful with everything throughout our stay. They pointed out quality restaurants and ways to travel around the city easier. We would definitely recommend this B&B and would come back for sure. They also handled the check in and check (w taxi) for us with ease. We have travelled all over and this is one of the best experiences we have had at a B&B. 10/10. Would stay again!

Everyone who works there is friendly, kind, and attentive. The check-in process was smooth and our host was very informative and helpful. It was great to have breakfast and coffee delivered to the room each morning, and they went out of their way to provide additional requests. Our family of three had a fantastic week-long stay at SM Mellini Relais B&B in Rome. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained, providing a perfect retreat after our daily explorations. The staff was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and always available to offer help and advice, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the choice of breakfast, which was conveniently served in our room each morning. The location in the Prati district was perfect – quiet yet centrally located, with most attractions within walking distance. There were ample choices of nice restaurants nearby, adding to the overall experience. The building itself is beautiful, enhancing the charm of our stay.
