Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe saw that the hotel was very well reviewed, with a great location in town, and although on the expensive side for a boutique hotel with almost no amenities (e.g. no fitness room), we decided to give it a try. While there is a lot to like about this hotel, we left with a number of complaints that would have been less significant if not for the high price per night. Overall, we felt that the hotel was not a good value. * Heating and cooling is an issue. During the winter, the common areas of the hotel run hot (think 25 C / 77 F) and so the rooms are also rather hot. It wasn't possible to have a pleasant temperate in the room for sleeping without using the Cool AC which felt weird when it's so cold outside. We tried opening the window, but the hotel is right next to an Irish pub and a really busy street, which means lots of noise and cigarette smoke coming into your room. You won't want to open your window. When the window is closed the room is quiet. * The hotel (as of February 2023) is still under construction / renovation and there was audible construction noise (power tools and construction workers moving around) from other rooms and floors as early as 8:30am. I didn't want to say anything to the staff about it and they didn't mention it to me. I would have preferred that they apologize proactively for the obvious inconvenience. The room next to ours was under constant construction during the week that we were there and so we smelled paint and chemicals (adhesives, lacquer, etc.) whenever we came and went from our room. * The upstairs bar while pleasant and comfortable has the most expensive drink menu we saw on our trip in Rome. Since the hotel is already very expensive it felt like adding insult to injury and we decided to spend our time (and money) elsewhere. For this hotel's excellent location a lot can be forgiven, but for an extended stay in Rome (more than a night or two) I think your money can be spent better elsewhere.
Spent 1 week in Rome here. * Staff very friendly and accommodating — they seem to really be working hard for the guests to have a good experience in Rome. Reached out before the trip to help with making restaurant reservations and booking other excursions. Their recommendations for restaurants were mostly good — we had to sift through to separate "great" from "good" and ended up having some really memorable meals. They could help their guests by adding the Google aggregate review scores to their restaurant recommendation list. * Location of the hotel within Rome is excellent and you really are in the center of everything, though this is a double-edged sword (see below). * Interior of the hotel is beautiful and has a pleasant boutique feel. * The room was relatively basic but comfortable. We slept well on the mattress (and I often have issues with uncomfortable European mattresses), and the bathroom was functional (small, no separation between toilet and shower) — very good shower pressure and did not have to wait long at all for hot water. * Restaurant and roof deck comfortable with very attentive service.

United StatesFrom the moment we arrived, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We received a wonderful tour and treated to espresso and snacks while our luggage was delivered to our rooms. The warm welcome was just the icing on the cake and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for a central location with warm, inviting energy. I'll definitely be back!

United KingdomThe hotel despite its luxurious feel and excellent location is slightly overpriced given it lacks certain facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, reception area. However that was not what we were looking for during our trip. The only other thing we were upset about was that our cake which we had made especially for my wife’s birthday (€40) was thrown away just before we checked out of the hotel and we had told a few staff that we wanted to take it away with us. The staff told us it was because it had eggs in it and would have been unsafe. they did however give us some fruit and small cakes to make up for it!
We visited singer palace hotel for my wife’s 30th birthday. The hotel staff including federica went out of their way to make the stay special for us, starting with a tour of the hotel including the terrace and then showing us to our room which was very kindly upgraded to a superior suite for the occasion. I had asked the hotel to make a gluten free chocolate cake for my wife which was incredible. The room was spacious and very clean and modern. Every corner of the hotel is well thought out with excellent decor. the breakfast was amazing and we prefer being able to order what we want rather than buffet service. location was excellent being only 5 minutes walk from the trevi fountain and the pantheon. there is even a venchi 2 mins down the road for gelato!

United Kingdomthe breakfasts were great but the evening meal was disappointing. The dishes had too much salt and I was quite surprised as to how much cheese sauce the carbonara had. We have eaten at some top Italian restaurants and this fell short. I think the head chef was away?

GermanyUnfortunately the restaurant does not match the hotel at all. Food quality was average at max and while the service staff was extremely nice again, the kitchen was not willing to go the extra mile. We asked for boiled potatoes and they refused to do them for us as not part of the menu. I had fish one night for dinner and the fish and I had a bad fight for hours the following night. Servings had been rather small also and a main was definately not enough for an adult but then who wants to have three plus courses for both lunch and dinner? Breakfast was ok but other then stated within booking.com's hotel profile there is no breakfast buffet. It is a la card, which wouldn't be a problem if the kitchen would be able to provide plain toast unburned, but unfortunately they are not. Club sandwiches had been served with rare bacon etc. pp. Overall the restaurant was really disappointing which was especially sad as we had been looking forward to the great Italian cuisine.
Both the hotel and the family suite were really nice. The location of the hotel is fantastic when interested in doing sightseeing and touring the historic sites. Five minutes of walking to the Pantheon, five minutes to Trevi fountain, five minutes to capitol hill. The staff was very helpful and very friendly and they did a great job in booking tours for us.
