Check in was a bit difficult, most hostels either have check-in hours or will provide the door code, but Short Stop required a text/WhatsApp exchange. I would suggest they provide the door code a day ahead and have check-in instructions or desk rather than using messaging. The setup of the room is decent, but since it is a converted apartment, the bathroom door is next to the beds. While it is soundproofed, it still means that anyone staying out late or getting up early is likely to wake up others.

Ideal location near many nice businesses and pedestrian streets next to the central market, train station, and just north of the main sights (all within walking distance). The beds were nice and clean, the room didn't have much street noise, and the property was cleaned every day. The view out of the main balcony was also amazing, with the duomo out in the distance. Value was very good for the area.

Fantastic place to book. You've got free coffe, some cakes. The facilities are a great difference of this accommodation.

The facility is within walking distance to everywhere. The facility is very close to markets, restaurants, entertainment and squares. The kitchen is useful.

Carrying luggage upstairs was a bit difficult.

Very clean rooms. All facilities mentioned were available. Rooms were as shown in pictures. Since my husband was new to the city, Joan helped a lot with everything which made easier for my husband in getting to know the city.

Just sharing so other travellers know, it is more like an apartment than a hostel - you go into an apartment building, up three flights of stairs and then it is one of the doors there - then there is a kitchen/dining area, a big room with 6 beds (three bunks)

Great location, the host was very responsive on WhatsApp. The hostel is very homey - I didn't realise the hostel was just the one room! But a pretty view from the window, good basic hostel

The hostel is in a lovely, quirky old building that is immaculately maintained by Stefan, the owner. The bed was comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, and Stefan provides towels! There’s only one washroom which makes things a little competitive, but it’s such a lovely place in a great location with a beautiful courtyard as an added bonus. Definitely recommend and will return if I come back to Florence.

The worlds tiniest elevator! If you have mobility issues or claustrophobia, this lift is scary. Better signage outside the hostel would be helpful, or explaining to look for the other hotel signs/giving a landmark once you've booked. The wooden door is a bit hard to find if you don't know exactly what you're looking for.

Good location. Despite being in a busy area, hardly any noise from traffic etc. Easy check in and communication - codes instead of keys made things heaps easier. Good shower - towel and simple soaps provided was much appreciated. Nice touches like tea and coffee available for free and a welcome snack upon check in. I liked that it was a max. 6 people hostel and having a little kitchen available to make snacks in.

Good location for staying in Florence, very easy. A small hostel but bathroom and apartment were very clean and tidy. Particularly liked the balcony as it was a peaceful spot and had a nice little view of the dome. Joan was also very helpful and made the experience very easy

Having more varieties of coffee :P But in all seriousness, nothing ! Perhaps a towel to avoid wetting the floor when getting out of the shower, but to be honest I've never seen a hostel providing that

The view over the Duomo inside the room, really responsive, communicative and nice staff, easy check-in/out process, an access to a terrace to have a panoramic view of the city (and Duomo still) the provided equipments (a moka express, coffee, biscuits, shampoo, lockers, free towels, etc), an exceptional localization (on foot : 10mn to the central train station, 8mn to the tram taking you to the airport, 15-30mn from various points of interests)...

There is only one bathroom, which led to jams in the morning and evenings. Time your visit to the bathroom.

The location is the main selling point, with the place being very close to the Florence train station and walkable to all the major sites in downtown Florence. I also appreciate that its 3 bed per room, where as other hostel tends to cram more beds and is therefore a lot noisier. The host is also a hardworking individual who lives in the building, and he would share drinks and food with me on a few occasions.

Look at the pictures. What you see is what you get. The apartment is not new but has everything that you need. And the owner did not try to put 6 people in one room just to get more money. My room was only for 2 people and it was perfect! We had enough space, place to hang our clothes and storage with lock for valuables, bathroom with the amenities and hairdryer, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, coffee machine and free water bottles, city maps and umbrellas were provided too. The wonder even arranged a dinner for us with pasta and wine so that people staying can meet and connect! That was very kind of him! Stefan is always available for communication and tries to accommodate your requests.

The hostel facilities were not very good. There's no outlet for each bed, so I actually could not charge my phone (I was using an upper bed) because I don't wanna risk my phone getting stolen from someone.

Very welcoming, kind staff. There's free coffee, candy, and water! He also explained some places to visit in Florence with a map. The location is quite near the tourist hotel area which also made me feel less dangerous
