Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We absolutely loved our panoramic view room. Our room was also huge! Great location and breakfast was decent! The staff were very nice too! Definitely recommend but it was expensive! Glad we stayed there!

United StatesOnly thing I would have liked is a smartTV to log into a streaming service to wind down the night.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Location is literally right next to the Spanish Steps and a short walk to great shopping. A couple good restaurants and rooftop wine bar in neighboring buildings. I am sure there are more elevated amenities at the two hotels across the street however at 4-5X the price this was a perfect spot.

Canadathere main office was up 50 steps that included were our breakfast was . We had someone meet us in the parking lot and quickly babbled on how to open the 3 doors needed to get into our room but forgot to add who to leave the keys to when we left. Biggest issue was if you want to charge those prices for a beautiful room someone should clean all the door frames and walls beacause they are disgustingly dirty

IrelandI didn't like being in the annex as it feels like we are separate to the main hotel. Room is great, but the facilities of the main hotel are effectively off-limits given the trek to get there. Going to breakfast, you need to be fully dressed and ready to go, otherwise you have a long trek up and down the steps. My wife was very happy with all of it so it is a subjective thing.
I thought the room in the annex was very nice, very comfortable and clean. The location itself is very nice. The breakfast is good and the personnel very helpful and friendly.

The breakfast was OK not the best but it was good. The location of the property was excellent. Definitely get a room at this location right on top of the Spanish steps close to everything. There’s even an excellent park right down the road.

PortugalThe driver that the hotel arranged for our airport transfer wasn't very helpful, and dropped us off at the wrong terminal. We gave hine specifics on the airline, and our flight. Annoyingly, I'd already tipped him by the time we realized that we were at the wrong terminal

Beautiful room but badly situated, too many stairs. Also wanted 2 rooms, we got 1 bedroom & a living-room sofa bed, not what I wanted. Roof top terrace was surrounded by plants we couldn’t see anything, so disappointed. The breakfast was excellent, the coffee ok, the staff very nice. Also the metro station near the steps was closed. And another thing the guest should be told once they book what road to take so they avoid the Spanish steps with 40 degreee weather!
