Room and balcony was exceptional. Very clean. Breakfasts were great with super friendly staff. We ate at the Victoria Grill a couple of times and the meals were lovely. We ate once on our last night at the Visteria Restaurant, which was the highlight of our holiday.

The room was a disappointment, Small, crowded, lacking a full mirror, noisy air conditioner, poor light seal (just have the curtains a bit wider) and the supposed enchanting proximity to the church is an annoying sound of the bell awaking at 7am

The stay altogether was fine. The hotel is located good, on one side the main village piazza and stunning view of the lake on the other. Good service. Offering nice generous breakfast and we enjoyed the experience of fine dining at the Visteria and afternoon cocktails overlooking the lake (for us worth the price).

The room and shower were very small. Would have liked a little more space to unpack. On day of arrival there was music directly outside our room until 1:00 am which was slightly unpleasant after a long travel day. It would have been nice if someone had told us and we could have prepared and enjoyed.

We had a lovely view of the city and the staff was pleasant and professional. Breakfast was magnificent. The concierge was very helpful.

Drinks quite expensive compared to the region and sometimes not in sync as the prices listed on menus. Pool was very cold. Quite a lot of non-hotel residents able to dine and walk into the hotel/pool area making it feel less exclusive.

A beautiful setting and location, with unique features in Varenna. Good options for food, clean and comfortable bed room and staff very helpful.

The location was excellent All staff are very friendly and helpful they couldn’t do enough for us Our room was very clean and had all the trappings like robes slippers coffee machine ect The extra large bed was sooo comfortable and although our room didn’t have a lake view we looked on to the very pretty square The views form the restaurant, bar and terraces are spectacular, absolutely beautiful Our experience at @visteria@ the hotel restaurant was amazing highly recommend booking this

Beautiful property right on piazza San Giorgio and next to the Villa Cipressi botanical gardens. But the best part was the staff who were incredibly gracious, friendly, and helpful. They spent hours trying to track down my lost luggage. I would definitely go back! They were wonderful

Great location, short walk to the water, right in the main square. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were exceptionally comfortable and had everything you could need. Restaurants on site had incredible food and drinks. The pool was a great amenity and lovely to relax by. We loved the included and delicious breakfast spread with so much to choose from including mimosas and a gorgeous lake view!

The breakfast choice was impressive. Now, whether this was because we went down to breakfast at 10am or not ….. the sausages,bacon, beans, mushrooms and hash brown were almost cold. Not what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. The same for the coffee - tepid. Quite disappointing.

The location, the helpfulness of Irena on reception, the size of the room and the free shuttle to the station. The breakfast was impressive but see below (in section - what didn’t you like about the property)

Hard to sleep at night because we stayed just before the hotel turns on the AC (April 15). No air movement during the nights which made it very stuffy. They did bring us a fan but it was uncomfortable even so. For reference, another hotel turned our AC on for our room though they don’t for the whole hotel until later in April.

It was the perfect location in the quiet town of Varenna. We loved our balcony view, the access to the botanical gardens and the incredible sunsets. The staff was exceptional. Marco helped us with a booking we made via another resource. For other travelers, please allow this hotel to manage your experiences! They have access to more at better pricing. We overpaid by not booking through the hotel.
